I tightened all the bolts today and replaced the gasket back when I did the head. I replaced all ignition parts recently along with a pertronix. I will try and mess with the carb adjustments and check the idle jets.

Good point Mike maybe that is what’s happening. Will try and spray above it to see what happens.

Ok the ‘idle speed screw’ shouldn’t be more than a turn out? That the one that touches the throttle linkage right?

Did you see the timing light, it has RPM on it, jumps from 750 to +950 when spraying carb cleaner where the intake manifold meets the head.

Yes I am, dies when I come to a stop, will start right back up and then rinse and repeat almost every time I slow to a stop.   Idle seems to jump around from 600-900 depending on what the truck decides to do at that time.

Yeah. Is it worth putting more money into an L16.

Another thing to consider is I only have a 4 spd, so how much benefit will I really get with an L20?

I would take an L20B w/4 speed over an L16 w/4 speed anyday.

Nothing in the end, just kicked the shit out of the jack handle which broke the bolt loose and wedged the wood nice and tight in the crank.

Well 1/4” BPST fit the bill to plug that hole on the intake manifold.

I just want to keep it.

And I found a NOS one for $39 but says its for a J13 but I imagine it will work an L16 as well.

Ordered 1/4” BPST... hopefully it will work.

Anyone switched from spiral choke to a single wire one? Or just replaced OEM one? Mine has been acting up and every time I try and fix it it frays and I have to fight it to get it back on my Weber.

Now it’s tight to pull and clicks when I push it in. Wondering what my options are?

Check your fuse box, left side towards the back I think the blue/yellow wire goes there.
