My datsun is has rust that is sort of a issue unless you want to weld a little in the next year or two because it has been in Michigan. I have alot of spare parts etc that came with it. It has a rebuilt injection pump and injectors, a new rebuilt radiator and new ngk glow plugs, I just burned up a brand new duralast clutch after getting the flywheel resurfaced so I am giving up on it but it has somehow had $9000 in parts in the last 3 years of hauling scrap metal in it so she is pretty ugly. Anybody wabbit for parts or project?I can send pictures later. It has numerous problems I can explain.

I think that I might have to weld the frame or replace the frame but I'm not looking forward to what it costs after a yota pickup I did it to once but maybe this time I will just weld the back half of another truck onto it or something so that it has a more common box that is longer because the chopped s10 box that it has now doesn't fit the frame right. I am definitely not going to modify the oil pan.

Huh... I was hoping that it would bolt in a Nissan frontierlongbox but I guess not because they look too much like a Nissan navara that has that has that sought after shoe box back bumper some people tolerate in Australia just to get a sd25 diesel. Why can't they just make a truck with a box and a diesel 4 anymore?I can't find enough of these in Michigan anymore.

I have the same problem ,thanks for the answers because I almost bought one of those rod dropping gassers to drop my engine in but I guess I am looking for another diesel frame or whole truck unless somebody knows what truck it will fit otherwise because my frame is rusting holes and the box is a cobble rig anyway.

My 1982 datsun 720 kingcab diesel late model 2x4 has rust holes in the frame and I just read in this forum that my sd22 engine won't fit into a gas model very easy because of the motor mounts and wiring harness but I am curious to know if there are any other pickups with a decent size box that will bolt right up to this engine and trans?

Hi I just had a problem with my radiator in my 82 Datsun 720 diesel pickup .The radiator fell off and got caught in the fan ruining all of the cores but I just took it over to Lansing radiator and repair in Lansing mi.Pat the guy that owns the place tore it all apart and tanked it in muriatic acid and soldered all new fins and cores in it ,welded the brackets back on and pressure tested it for only $300.00 even.This place can fix any of them for any model prices varie.look them up on Google maybe he does it through the mail too.high quality remain for discontinued radiator and he can repair for as low as $50 he said.
