  1. Just for clarity this motor was built by the original owner of Bills Datsun nothing to do with current owner.
  2. Hi Way before my time we're talking 42 years ago. I did look on the front of the head but did not see any numbers. As noted I purchased my 510 with this motor already in it from the original owner 6 years ago. Great car and great motor. I am only Letting it go as I have a new LZ 22 going in my car Thanks
  3. Hi So just to be clear I am not trying to sell the motor just looking For possible value as I already have a friend that wants it for his vintage race car The engine was originally built by Bills Datsun here in Portland Back in the 70's. The head is ported with comp double valve springs And a custom ground cam from Oregon Cam Grinding. As for markings on the head all I Found were at the rear and they were #29 628. The block # is L18 627119 Thanks
  4. Hi The motor was imported in 1974 or so and did have the dual Hitachi carbs. It's never been torn apart but was in my 510 for years and a great motor. Thanks
  5. Hi Long time 510 maniac but new to this forum. Looking for some quick advice regarding my L18. A friend wants to purchase the motor but I have no idea on the current market value. This is a vintage L18 SSS motor brought in from Japan in 1974. Complete and strong runner with single point distributor A87 head etc. any thoughts greatly appreciated.
