  1. The car is now sold. (I'd delete it, but for some reason I can't even edit the posting.)
  2. As the title says, I'm offering up my 240Z with a small block conversion, as I find I just don't have the space and time to finish up the body repairs that it is still needing. I purchased it last march, only to find that the engine needed serious work. Once I was done replacing the stock truck heads and getting the engine set up and happy with the new exhaust, I was shown that I had managed to miss a rust area under the battery tray. Some prior owner had coated this area with a plastic paint on sealer in the wheel well area, keeping it from being overly obvious, and channeling the corrosion down into the frame rail/fender area. Since I live in an apartment, I do not have any space to allow me to take this apart and repair it correctly. It still drives, but I wouldn't subject it to any overly high stress driving as it currently sits. It looks like it wouldn't be too hard if you had the space to unmount the fender and fabricate a little bit of replacement metal, or would be ideal for someone who wanted to build a tube framed front end, but again, I lack the space to work in either of those manners. Now, with the bad already being pointed out, on with the good! The car was painted a dark green by the prior owner, and other than a small chip on the driver's door where his daughter ran into it with a kiddie quad, there are only a few scuffs on the roof where something got put on the car. I may buff them out, but I haven't paid any attention to detailing it yet. Good condition indicators all around. The gaskets around the tail lights are cracked, but all the other rubber is in good shape, and lenses are all intact. (This took a good bit of doing, as the prior owner had lost and damaged almost all the indicators on the car!) It also comes with a set of Skyline GT-R tail lights that I was looking at installing in the spare rear trim panel that is also included. New door seal rubber installed, and door window rubber with the car, but not installed yet. The engine is a 4-bolt mains block from a late '70s van, with flat top pistons, and has been rebuilt with new heads purchased from Summit Racing. Topping it is a Wieand dual plane intake, and an Edelbrock 4006 carb, breathing through a 14x3" K&N air filter. Exhaust is through a set of stainless steel Sanderson block hugger headers, and then out the back through an exhaust system built by http://www.stans-headers.com/. This exhaust is dual 2.5" coupled through ball joints into a Y just to the rear of the transmission. From there it goes onward as 3" to the rear, where it's slightly muffled by a Magnaflow muffler. I'm not going to even try to claim it's quiet. It grumbles at idle, and roars when you stomp on it. From outside it's pure music. All in all, it's an almost exact conversion by the JTR manual, and comes with a copy of the manual as well. I'm looking to recoup the money I've just recently spent on parts, ignoring the cost of buying the car. I just can't justify keeping it, and would rather let it go to someone who will either finish the repairs that I can't, or take the majority and transplant it to another car that will do justice to the parts. $650 -Summit Racing heads $850 -exhaust work $90 -Deka Intimidater AGM battery (Optima type, without being a spiral cell, or as expensive. Industrial supply house.) ~$200 -misc summit parts(ARP bolts, fram rebuild gasket set, MSD cap/rotor, radiator fill relocation splice and rad caps, coolant bottle, etc...) If possible, I'm looking for $2000, but that is definitely flexible, as again, I can't justify sitting on it when I don't have the space to do the welding to repair the frame to fender joint.   3. I'm looking to buy a right tail light for my '73 240z, either intact or just a lens. Mine is crunchy and missing chunks, so anything is an improvement, even one that's already cracked. Thanks for any info!
  4. Is there any chance you have a set of the below bumper front turn signals? The '73 240 that i have came without them, so I'm trying to find a set. Other than that, a right tail light for the same? Thanks for any info.
