Thanks that was my problem not called control arm bushings " strut rod bushings ". I'm going to replace them and address the worked out hole when I have more time.

I know thread is a little old I'm new to the site and working my 86 kc 4x4 and seem to have this same problem the washer idea seems feasible. But where can I find new bushings have checked several places with no luck. Any help appreciated
