I own a 71 Datsun 510 that I have purchased from another owner. I find myself needing a new alternator. After realizing that the alternator has been upgraded from the original one. I can not seem to find out which one it is. After my research, I think its from a Datsun 280zx but I'm not sure. It's a Hitachi stamped is LT 150-54 also there is 97G. Under it kinda washed out but I think it 32990-5310 Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Yes, it's a 510, but I didn't take any pictures. I did reposition the alternator and tried a few smaller belts (891mm) but I couldn't the belt on over the pulley. The 920mm belt fit but the alternator would hit the lower hose connector. Thanks for your response, when I get some time I will take some photos and post it.

I purchased a Kyorad but I'm having an alternator clearance issue. The lower hose connector is hitting my alternator. Has anyone else have the same issue or have any suggestions on how to remedy. Your input is appreciated thank you in advance.

I purchased my 510 years ago and forgot to ask the seller which transmission was in the car. From all my research I believe it's either from a ZX or 720 pick up. I would post pictures but do not know how. It is a 5-speed. The trans is a long (roughly 32 inches long), L1 is marked on the bell housing, and below the shifter, on the right side, there are also markings #Lb29. It also looks like the drive shaft has been modified to be shorter. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
