I've hand started mine a bunch. Twice the crank start saved me when I had dead batteries. On the E1 it's easy. On the rebuilt J15 with high compression it's hard.
E1 sending unit is unique to the 320 gauge, different than J engine sending unit. You in theory can calibrate the gauge from rear with a dental pick but I've never been able to get the wheel to spin.
With the temp gauge I'd be willing to bet it's the temp sending unit in the block. Resting position is H. The wire connection to the temp sending unit is fragile, I'd check that first.

The old codes aren't in the system anymore--I don't think a name or code would do you any good. I think a match on the best paint left on your truck is the best you'll get.
How about the inside of your glove box door? Could you shine that up and have it matched?
I don't know enough about EVs or EV swaps but in my mind a Ford Eluminator swap would be cool. At almost 500 HP it'd be scary fast and would need disk breaks.
Can you find a local glass installer who can cut curved glass? Jeep Commander glass has the same curve and is large enough to cut a 320 windshield from the center of it. I have a guy here in Tucson who cut me a few for $350 but I don't want to ship.
Haven't posted in a while but I'm still chipping away at it. Lot's of 2000 grit wet sanding and polishing, chip repair, and carburetor work. Replaced all the window seals: front, back, wing windows, side glass squeegees.
