  1. Cant wait for the New Season!

  2. What's up... So during my MKlotz disc brake swap, we noticed Iw as going to need a new kingpin soon on my passenger side, and this week, it let me know for sure....it's like a bucking bronco over 45 mph on that side. I'm searching and I can only find one place with them, and they seem way ass expensive and he seems to only take paypal, which seems weird to me. It's a 70 521, and Napa didn't have it that I could find, but if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. Thanks ! Rut
  3. What's up Alex! Did you see my 521 when it was up at Garage Zero? I might be persuaded into selling it...pm me either here or on IA or IZ and we can chat. Thanks !
  4. It WILL happen ! I'm trying to finish my part order today so I can get them on next week...If it's done, I'm going to try and drive the truck to Daytona with Kyle either following me or in front of me. Fingers crossed !
  5. Wow...Phoenix sure would be a drive from Atlanta ! I'd do it though if we had time and a camera to go with us.

    Hope you're doing great man!

  6. Rut, You should drive that Datsun to Pheonix or Calif.speedway we could have Datsun's in a row at the races?

  7. What's up Rut?

  8. Thanks Charlie ! It's a really weird sensation to drive on sand that deep...reminds me a little bit of driving in snow. Fun times though. Thanks everybody for checking it out
  9. Thanks guys...I'm really glad you liked it. I bought the truck and the next day started trying to figure out how I could get it down here since we're in Daytona for almost 2 weeks. The truck really hasn't been very hot yet, I think partly because it's been so cold. That was one of the nicer days we've had and I just kept my arm up on the window opening most of the time. With the windows down and the vent open, it's really nice. But then again, ask me in August when it's back in GA and I'm sure I'll have something else to say about it. If you guys liked the piece, there's some other fun stuff that I've done on NASCAR.com and YouTube. Some of my favorite stuff on NASCAR.com is when I did the "Ponytail Express" last year with my friend Kyle Petty and I rode in a sidecar hooked to his Harley for 6 weeks. He's hilarious so there's some good stuff in there. Thanks again, Rut
  10. Added the video link as promised ! Hope you enjoy !!!
  11. Good call man ! Thanks for reminding me...
  12. Ok, well, techincally I was about a mile north of the former North Turn of the beach course, where there now resides an amazing restaurant filled with tons of NASCAR history and I actually met a former driver while I was there named Cotton Owens who used to race on the course. He had some great stories... I did a little historic tour of Daytona Beach for NASCAR.com and the video will be up on Wednesday I believe. I'll add that link once it's finished... We did snap a couple of pictures to show everyone. Driving on the beach was nuts...such a cool place. Enjoy ! >>>>>>EDIT >>>>> Check out the video !!!! http://www.nascar.com/video/cup/2010/speed/rutledge_at_large/02/10/cup_day_rut.nascar/index.html
  13. Today was maybe the coolest day I've had with the Datsun...I spent the day driving around Daytona Beach,FL shooting a piece for NASCAR.com and SPEEDTV.com using my truck. We did a neat tour of the town that I'll post so everyone can see when it's done on wednesday. The highlight was driving the truck on the beach. I can't believe that people used to do that and it was so fun to have my truck out there. I'll get some pics of it up too... Hope you're watching it all on SPEED while we're down here in Daytona for SPEEDWeeks
  14. Are there stickers and shirts ?????? Where where where ? Thanks again for all the support....JRock, if I see pictures of your truck, I may just have to take you both out together to make a pair at my house :) I think I'm going to try and adjust the drums before I head to daytona for sure. I want to do one of the disc kits, but not sure which one. I'm leaning towards MKlotz kit since I have 14's on the truck, and although they aren't stock, I think sticking with that kit might be better for me as the truck sits...but Beebani also has a rear kit,so who knows..maybe just spread the love around :) Might have more pics for everyone tomorrow since I got a plate today and it stopped raining finally
  15. Thanks man ! Hopefully the Garage Zero guys will be making this bad boy stop a little quicker soon. Bob! I read your entire thread...wow. I'm so impressed. Pics will be up when it stops raining in GA! Plus I had to go to Charlotte for NASCAR Night/Haiti Benefit Thanks man! I love it so far...I'm actually trailering it to Daytona since we're there for almost 2 weeks, so it might make it on air someway...I can't wait to take it on the beach. I'll definitely take some pics of that. It's still so crazy to be standing on Daytona Beach and realize what they used to do. Amazing. Thanks for watching !
