I'm about to put Zx struts on my 510 also,earlier in this thread, still not clear on something, are you saying I'm gonna use the 510 steering arm with the 280zx strut❓ looks like the Zx strut mounts to the control arm differently than the 510. It looks like maybe I'll use the 510 ball joint on the bottom of the Zx strut. Is that it ❓ thanks , just trying to get a clearer picture before diving in.

I'm kinda new to this, will I need to reposition the 510 crossmember any to use it? Oh, & will the 510 hydrologics work with the Zx trans ok? Something else just came to mind, is there any advice about shortening the drive shaft, like does the front of the 510 drive shaft fit into the Zx trans ok? Thanks

Hey, I need to put a 82 280zx 5 speed into a 72 510. What parts of this swap are interchangeable (clutch, pressure plate etc..)I know I'll have to shorten the drive shaft,& punch a new hole for the shifter. And what will I have to do to the transmission mount? Thanks for any help.

Is it hard to reseal a 510 diff if that's all it needs?

Well I'm not sure if I'll need the 510 diff rebuilt, I know it's leaking, if it's OK I will use it. But if I get a zx donor car ,I'll have the zx diff on hand.The 510 isn't drivable, so I don't know if it's bad. Anyone know if parts are available to rebuild one, or if it can be rebuilt for under say,$400.? Bought the car not running, so don't know if the diff is gonna be noisy or messed up.

Hey,gotta 72 510 & planning on maybe finding a donor zx (79-83) to upgrade struts,brakes, transmission. What has to happen to also use the differential in the 510? And could you tell me what the gear ratio would be in a zx ? I think turbo cars were different from non turbos

Thanks. Where is a good place to get adapter brackets to put 280zx calipers & rotors on the rear of My 510. One company I looked at said theirs is only to adapt 82-83 zx parts, is there a difference with 79-81zx? One more question right now, I know I'll need to upgrade the master cylinder, but on a 510 that's all, don't need to run a brake booster right? Thanks again for the info.

Some 720 trucks have L20 engines too right? It would be nice to find a running donor vehicle with a5speed.
