  1. I'll think about meeting you all in the gorge, any idea when you might be passing Biggs or The Dallas?
  2. Hello, I'll be traveling from Wenatchee on Friday. Might like to join you if its possible. I will leave early in the AM and stop at places that have junk, wrecking yards and anything that I might see as a deal for my business. Or I can just travel straight thru. I usually drive thru Yakima, then to Goldendale and either to Biggs or down the Killitat river to the Gorge and travel along the Washington side to the bridge of the Gods, (toll $2) and into Oregon. All depends on the time that one wants to arrive in Canby. Better to arrive before to much Friday rush hour. Will be eating food from Fred Meyer so I do not need to stop at Winco. What your time frame? Nice thing about travel I-84 is the speed thing, 70 to 75mph, although the road is so rough. Meeting the gang from Idaho would be a plan also, Biggs, Maybe? or the Dallas as that bridge is free also. If it rains I will have to slow way down as my tires are slick as Hell!
  3. thanks to all, found someone who knew what I was saying. Thread is now dead.
  4. This seems weird to me... youre willing to trailer back a 510 for someone, but only if its nice. So even with me paying for it, I cant buy one I want? And it can only be a 2dr? Like This ---Tristin yep.
  5. Any body need a quality 510 picked up? Not looking to bring back a junker, looking for someone who wants a nice 2 door 510. Will buy and then sell to you. If you do not like it I will take it home. $5000 or more.
  6. Sorry for no link, but man is that a nice wagon. How many here could reproduce it for his buy it now price of $13k?
  7. Do you know the history or the parts you are selling? The heat sheild is missing on the carbs? How much for the whole works?
  8. Can anybody tell me about cars for sale? What about prices? What was the price of the Bumble Bee? Thanks.
  9. Thanks all to your ideas. I put in a new distributor a couple of years ago. 2000 miles ago. I checked the coil and no power. Spent 2 hours unraveling the gooey electrical tape that Wolfman used when he did the wiring. He ran all red wires to the relays and every where else, so no coded wires. I am in the process of cleaning all the goo off of the wires and such and colour coding every thing. (Very simple wolfman, you just have a dozen rolls of different colours of tape and wrap a small piece around your red wire and especially at the begining and the ends so you know where it came from and goes to, better yet get different colours of wire.) Anyway found a couple of frays in the wires that I will repair. I checked the harness from the ECU to the coil and it has continuity, so now I think I have it isolated to the relay. Now I need to figure out how to check a relay. Any ideas how to do that? Also I'm sure that there is electrical tape that does not turn to goo. Any ideas on that also?
  10. I just lost power going to the Friday nite get together at Tom, Dick and Harry's. When I got the car home (via flatbed tow) I hooked up a spark indicator, and no spark! The engine is fuel injected. I got the 1986 300 ZX service manual out and am trying to figure out what to do. Any ideas where to start? I'm not a diagnoses expert, but can check components if given directions. Thanks for any hep.
  11. Must have been that hood scoop that made the robbers steal it. Was the "club" attached to the steering wheel? Keep your eyes out on Craigslist for parts sellers. Pass it around here and other places. We all are looking for parts and would help to locate the theives. Where was it parked and for how long? Did you have insurance? If I left mine parked, I would like to leave a couple of well fed rattlesnakes in for protection. Sorry to hear of your loss
  12. Nice looking wagon! I have a VG30 in my wagon, its a 3 liter and it hauls ass. The engine and swap parts alone where over $4500. Hundreds of hours spent on the swap and it is one of the easiest. I have had several 2 door 510's and I can tell you that a L20b was the most fun. If fact I am in the process of making a street L20b. I like the dual SU carbs, as they are the most used and the guys at Z Therapy in Eugene oregon can rebuild them and give you the most support for them. They are very simple once you study them. You already have a great engine in the L-16. The sound of an L series engine is blood boiling. Not only that but you don,t have to worry about someone stealing your car (noticed the wheel lock in your photos). Just go to youtube and watch "Against all Odds" and listen to the BRE engine. What a fantastic sound of a race engine. At Canby, I talked to a guy that has a fantastic totally cherry 510 with a L16 and he claims that he drives that engine hard (up to 8000 rpms) all day long and has never even had an oil leak. Of course he is a professional mechanic! Don't forget the speed limit is only 70 mph. I'd rather be driving an L series car than doing a project but that is just me. LOL
  13. What is the present condition of your car? Big brakes etc. Do you have skills and lots of money for a SR 20 swap? Do you live in a state that has 70 mph or higher speed limits? Are you not interested in cornering or autocrossing?
