  1. Its the white valve in this.. And im .. Well.. I have very little computer skill ..lol
  2. Ahahh i think this link should work? https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-metropcs-us&biw=594&bih=112&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=JeAJWrfoFcTXmwHI9p_ABA&q=720+vacuum+z24&oq=720+vacuum+z24&gs_l=mobile-gws-img.12...76465.81856.0.82327.14.6.0.0.0.0.363.1261.1j2j1j2.6.0....0...1.1j4.64.mobile-gws-img..8.3.732...41.0.hlR_ltdzbAA#imgrc=QcSNBTeT2mogOM:
  3. Ok that did not work hah.. Lets try again file:///storage/emulated/0/Download/720_pickup_vacuum_line_routing_007.jpg
  4. Was gonna just ask what the part is called that i was looking for but then realized this may be a good place to post the oddities. And hard to find part names and numbers.. Anyway im looking for this thing.. Its the white valve with two ports.. Not even sure where this pic came from but its got what i need in the right place .. Now just gotta see if i can load the picture.. Or maybe the url will work for now.. It seems that non of the auto stored arou d here have one.. Or may e weve just been searching in all the wrong places..hah thats why knowing the name of the part you bring in (broken in the palm of my hand) helps file:///storage/emulated/0/Download/720_pickup_vacuum_line_routing_007.jpg
  5. Nice something like the roll pin is what i wanted to use... Thos got me past inspection for now though... Wanna replace the carb.. Since mine is rusted and ha s siezed screws i cant open... And needed to be able to get it hot and check it under load
  6. Oh hey.. Forgot i hadnt updated this yet.. Well still not done yet.. Been drivin my cab non stop till this past two days . god damn i needed a break... Gettn back in my 720 felt crazy for a minute hah.. But yeah... Update.. The Phillip s head bolts on the hitachi are seized.. .. Between shifts at one point it was a nice enough day so i started taking it apart.. Only to find out that most of the bolts are seized.... And there is looze rust that has been randomly clogging different parts... No shit it was goin crazy... The jets are clogging at random times and im sure theres a leak in the gasket in the middle somewhere.. The base gasket change made a huge enough difference alone... But have had to pull it off and on a few times to keep trying to flush it(since i cant get it open) it was acting up again today just as i was ony way to get my inspection sticker... I swear... Lil niss.. knows when i need to get somewhere hah.. Anyway... Lucky.. for me i already passed my smog a few weeks back and was just goin back after fixing some light shit for the inspection sticker... But yeah.... At this point im buyin a weber... Also anyone have experience switching to power steering from non
  7. K thanks for the heads up.. I changed the fuel filter not so long ago.. In terms of milage... Ima check this banjo fitting.. Considering that im not sure this carb was ever opened... All bolts ive tried so far are seized im thinkin it could be some rust on parts of the float or possibly the jet thats clogging ... The airfuel ratio cylnoid sounds a bit louder than i think it should too gotta get it open before all this shit goes... Ima see if i can reverse bit any of the bolts when i get a chance.. But yeah a new weber is lookin pretty nice at this point.. Got it tuned enough to get back to the inspection shop just waitn on this switch to come in... And hopin the only problem with my horn is in the combo switch
  8. If i can figure out how to put pics on here ill post um
  9. Nice made a return pin out of a bic pen since my gt steering wheel has a different system.. Its got a raised peice of aluminum in the wrong location and two short.. So yeah.. Bic pen. Seems to work for now..ill keep yaw up to date on how long it lasts... Wouldnt surprise me if it lasted way longer than i needed it too... Literally a second or two after they put that sticker on.. Never had one before .. Not sure why i need it now
  10. Ho.ly shit.. Beautiful truck.. This thing looks like its been in a cryovac bag. For the past 30 somethin years!
  11. I have a question for some of yaw about weber carbs.. So im realizin if this latest bit of tinkerin doesnt work to get these screws off im gonna need to replace my carb soon enough.. The way i figure .. If im replacing it.. I do not want to got with that mess of 2 million wires and hoses... I keep hearing of weber carbs here but want to see what all of my options are for an "85 720... Is the weber less of a clusterfuck of hoses? Also ive seen some really simple carbs in some photos, and they look so clean... I definitly wanna clean up a bit.. And once i get some of the extra hoses. And possibly valves/vacumes.. out i will start on replacing the wiring that is Litterally the same age as me.. Im not sure id call what i like to do restoration... Possibly modernazation of really old machines? Lol ill work on that name but any help with simpler carbs would be nice.. Also considering that i work on a two penny kinda budget... So super expensive shit will only be drooled on... Then they kick me out of the store
  12. Ok... So its startin to look like i will need a new carb soon enough.. Unless we can get these damn seized bolts off without havin to drill.. As a temp fix ive been pullin the carb and adjusting what i can to get it running smoothly.. But theres a bunch of red coming out when i flush it... Last week one of those chunks of rust clogged one of my jets while i was out in the sticks... Had to keep tap pumpin and popping into neutral on the highway goin ninety mph... Well i guess the ninety wasnt a had to.. Just got a leadfoot... But yeah.. Thinkn ill eventually get a weber.. ... Will i have to change the ecu settings for this. I also heard of people ditching the ecu after installing one... Is this just hyped up bullshit or is the ecu actually only fuctioning as a carb control? Damn was hopin to save up for a ka swap... But will need to do this soon anyway.. And a carb most likely wont be near the price of the swap anyway... Well turns out though.. These things are super addictive..lol
  13. Just gettn back to this one but thank you mike... Got it balanced enough that its not wearing much if any now... Turns out i will have to replace the ... Cant think of the name off the top of my head... But the straightest rod that spans from driver to passesnger.. Has a slighlty bent nuckle... Took a few months of me layin under my truck offn'on to one day notice the very slight bend on the passenger side.. Explains why this side had to be tuned out more than the other too... Just had to tune my eyes enough to see it. .. Its been like this since before i got the truck so gettn a few other things taken care of first.. The roadside thing was just cause i got new tires that week and noticed they were already balding on the side... The adjustment stopped this.. Even if it is just a temp fix
  14. Got it off the intake manifold though and what i flushed out was tinted red..(rust). So yeah... Gonna be super temporary..
  15. Turns out the majority of screws on my carb are stuck as hell.. So far i ended up re adjusting the fast idle cam... Pretty sure i adjusted it wrong the first time.. And tryed flushing the carb while it was off with cleaner.... Seems to have done its job temporarily... Got a feeling ima be pullin this carb off pretty consistantly untill i can get those screws loose.. Once i do... Puttin allen heads in.... Not sure why anyone woulda ever thought philips head bolts would ever make sence on aluminum that is constantly exposed to heat and chemicals.. ??
