The steering wheel gear box**

Mines is a 4 speed trans, & truck tends to go to the left when driving. I figure it's the gear box taking a dump, & a friend has a 78 Datsun truck & said he will give me his but we don't know if it will work on mine 521?

I would like to know if a gear box from a 1978 620 Datsun fits in a 1971 521 Datsun?

Thanks for the feed back. & I just bought the 521 last Sunday & by the looks of it previous owner didn't maintain the truck. I just cleaned the bottom of the engine bay & tried cleaning it, tomorrow a friend of mine is gonna help me check out the brakes & replace them with the wheel cylinders. When I went to the local auto part store they didn't sell a axle seal? & I noticed old oil stuck around the inside wheel area.

Does the 71 Datsun 521 have rear differential, does it have axle seals? I saw fluid moisture by the passenger & driver side back plate brake assembly. Any info would help thanks.

Looking for rear tail lights for my 521 & all the little lights that go on the sides. Interior parts as well like seat belts & little parts that go on dash. I stay in southern Cali- Inland Empire.
