For parting out one of my rigs, I made a general posting for all of the parts. Surprised at the lack of response.

If you are looking for a particular part which of the following are you most likely to respond to or buy from;

1. A general listing covering multiple parts, lots of reading required. Pic is of a random part.

2. An ad specific to the part that you need with the matching pic of that part.

3. A wanted posting for the part posted yourself and wait for responses.

4. I don't waste my time on Ratsun classifieds and go directly to Craigs List.

5. Fill in your own description.

Working on the 620. I am in the midst of replacing the brake hydraulic system. I have been noticing that Ebay has items for sale that are listed on Rockauto for twice the price or more. 


 For example I found a Japan original Brake Master Cylinder that had an old masking tape stain on one of the upright plastic fillers, at Rockauto for $39.95. On Ebay I spotted the identical Brake Master Cylinder (same pic and brand) for the amount of $79.95 - $99.95.


I suspect that the Ebay sellers were selling the item they did not even own, for a substantial profit no less.


Is this whats going on, if it is, is this something new?

620 engine swap Thoughts?

Currently I own:

1; 1980 720KC L20B/5spd (desmogged, early l16 exhuast n downpipe). This was totalled (at least the bed was), I am now running a makeshift flatbed on it. This truck runs excellent, an easy daily driver.

2; 1976 620KC Auto I just picked up, decent body starts n sounds good but a PO put an l16 in it. (It is supposedly rebuilt). I am in the midst of redoing the complete brake system so I am not able to take it out on a drive.







I am going to keep the 620KC and send the 720 to the next owner, but I am torn on the engines. Will I be happy with the l16? Is it well worth the time to do an engine swap?
