  1. I know that here in Europe, parts for the 810 model are not too hard to come by.. here in the UK there's a guy with a tonne of NOS parts for them but of course the European 810 is a bit different to the North American one in that is is a four cylinder with a shorter front end and doesn't have the big bumpers. That said, things like tail lights and some of the trim parts rearward of the windshield will be the same. As for whether it's worth it... I can echo what's been said so far but add that it'd difficult to tell what the future holds for these cars. Here, twenty years ago any Datsun other than a 240Z was just about wothless. Now it's very hard to buy a Datsun in ANY condition, even a wreck, for under £1000. In 2004 a friend of mine bought a C130 Laurel hardtop for £550. About a year ago a project one which need a lot of wok sold for nearly £9000! I would never have predicted the values going up like they have done 10 or 15 years back.
  2. Really cool idea! I'm quite interested in the potential of 3D printed parts. Any idea how stable this kind of plastic is in the sun or in high temperatures? It's be sweet to be able to make OEM looking custom dash or interior parts etc this way.
  3. Sorry, I've had a look and I don't have one. Have you asked Svein Erik of the Datsun PMC Register there?
  4. Thanks Mike, I'll have a look when I get back home tomorrow afternoon. That P0100 number should mean it's the same part as on a 230 model (Cedric or 240C / 260C).
  5. I have a whole bunch of new Datsun relays and I don't know what most of them are for. If you can find out what the part number is I can check to see if I have one. We didn't get a choke heater on 1200's here so the only parts catalog I have doesn't list it.
  6. Sadly the theft of old cars is pretty common here, especially early Ford Escorts which are worth strong money. They usually disappear without trace. Hopefully if this has been seen around then it's not been taken to order or to be stripped down for parts. Massively sucks though. Hope it gets reunited with it's owner.
  7. I'm pretty sure I have a brand new genuine 510 wagon locking gas cap among my hoard of parts in my shed if anyone wants it. No idea what it's it's worth.
  8. Looking at the ECCS wiring diagram, I can't see why there would be any problem. CAs are fairly old tech.
  9. For service parts like brake shoes, pads, cylinders etc, I tend to look out for NOS, even if it's non genuine. I have brake shoes for my Datsuns on the shelf and they are usually Ferodo, Mintex or similar. Usually you can pick it up off of ebay cheap and stash it away until you need it. A stock of routine service parts doesn't take up much space and if you are buying casually when you don't need it, you can wait until it turns up for cheap. The older stuff tends to be fairly decent quality I've found. Brand new non-genuine replacement parts are a last resort because of the quality gamble. .
  10. Reckon so. The same seller was hawking some 1200 GX coupes too. There's a handful of SA built Datsuns which have made their way over here now. There was a 710 SSS sedan for sale not long ago.
  11. Listed on Ebay UK at the moment for £14,500...
  12. When the 510 sedan came out here I picked up loads of them.. same with the 620 but for some bizarre reason the 510 wagon is really hard to find. I have never found one in a store! In the end I had to get fleeced via ebay for a couple. Is it only here in the UK that they are scarce ?
  13. Old pictures but I've never seen another one of these... a 510 van (VPL510 rather than WPL510). No rear seats, just a flat load floor. Note the metal bulkhead behind the seats...
  14. 1300 Standard model...
