Hello all. I'm looking for a dipstick tube. I recently purchased this truck and I have a oil leak coming from right under the dipstick tube, it doesn't seal and then leaks oil on the exhaust manifold. Any thoughts? Thanks, Kris
  2. Hey y'all. Totally made a bonehead move and accidentally put brake fluid in my power steering. It has been in there for about 5 days. I drained the power steering reservoir, but what should I do next. How bad of a f#@$ up is this? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you, Kris 1985 720 2.4
  3. Right on, thanks y'all. Kris (Vancouver island is a beautiful place!!)

I got this far, but it sends you to the link instead of showing up on my post. This is better than nothing and I will figure it sooner than later. In the images, you can see the oil leak from the point of the dipstick cylinder and the following pics of the dipstick removed along with cylinder housing, a funny rubber washer (that I feel is not supposed to be there and also, both the oil cylinder housing and dipstick removed. Thanks y'all. Kris
  5. Hello all. I just purchased a 1985 720 z24 kc and I noticed when I went to check the oil that there was a leak coming from the dipstick area. I went to pull the dipstick out and not only did the dipstick come out, but the whole sleeve that you feed the dipstick through, also came out. It seems there should be a gasket or something that makes this seal properly??? It definitely leak a fair amount here and do not want to drive it until I fix this issue. I thought some of you might be able to lend some wisdom. Thanks! Kris Also, how do you post pictures on here? I think it would be helpful to include some images.. Thx
  6. Hello all. I have a question regarding the hard start that was mentioned in this post. I just bought a 1985 720 4x4 and in the morning, she is pretty hard to start, it takes a bit. Granted it is about 25 -30 degrees, but I was wondering if there is a proper way to get her cracking'? I have never had a carbureted vehicle before, so I figured I'd ask some of y'all who are in the know. Thanks, Kris
  7. Hello all. I am new here and just purchased an 85' 720. Digging it so far and figured I would put some feelers out for the rear fold up seats and seat belts. Anyone have a line on these or is there a seat swap that works? I am sure I will be back will more questions, but this is it for now. cheers, kris
