I used 3M spray glue.
I added jute padding as well, so l lightly glued the padding down and the lightly glued the carpet to the top of the pad.
While you are in there, consider installing a layer of dynamat down. It really helps

I did the MS3 PNP on my KA24DE. It helped a lot (to me) compared to the stock one. My PO removed almost all the smog stuff, so I was able to tune it much better and get the timing really dialed in...plus all the stuff you probably know like COP, boost, etc.
I put a hi flow cat converter on my KA24DE. Since it was de-smogged it really stunk and I had the AFR tuned in perfectly with the Megasquirt ECU on the computer, so it was not running rich.
My wife would not ride in it.
It's probably 70% better now smell wise (and I dont get hose nasty looks from other drivers. I honestly cant tell any difference in performance or sound either....
It was not cheap, but it sure helped in my case - it was a lot cheaper when I bought in in 2022

I hooked up the ebrake on my Isuzu rear calipers. I would not trust it on a hill alone, but it works.
I used Isuzu rear brake cables mated to the factory cable that comes from the handbrake with stainless cable rope clamps.
That reminds me....they have stretched over the years and need to be adjusted.

I just re did mine when I had the dash out to get re-done.
I did Kicker 5.25's in the panel with the tweeter at the leading edge of the dash.
NVX 125w Class D amp running the fronts under the seat.
CV 10" thin sub - fits behind the seat
Retrosound head unit with VW knobs and the AM sticker.
I get a lot of "holy shit...that sound was coming out of this??"
