  1. BETTER TO BE A HAS BEEN THAN A NEVER WAS

  2. Remember the "everything goes better with coke" rear plate?
  3. Easy way to tell the B29 from the B50 is that the B50 had its large oil cooler below the engine cowling.
  4. MT's quad cam / Hemi head Chevrolet conversion
  5. After the war to end all wars number 2, you could buy the Allison engines from war surplus for penny's on the dollar. I had the chance to buy 3 for $150 total. A big number of them also ended up in West Texas pumping water. I never saw any of the Rolls Royce engines for sale in the states but I know they were hear as some ended up in race cars and boats after the war.
  6. As fighter planes became better and better you can see how easy it would have been to shoot one down plus we had to buy them from Germany as only they made the really big ones. After the Hendberg the uses of air ships was doomed.
  7. The GM mystery motor that NASCAR teams had before the 396's were in use. Engine was the mother of the 396/427 as we know it.
