http://www.angliacarauctions.co.uk/en/classic-auctions/results/results-from-saturday-5th-november-2016/1978-datsun-120y/ Thought i'd post it here, this datsun sold for 8400 pounds (over $10K) back in november. from the site: Less than 8,000 miles from new, this is, most probably, the best 120Y presently on offer. Four owners, although five on the V5, and all from the same family. Comes with photographic restoration file. V5 present MoT October 2017 Recorded mileage 7,877

Posted this little number on one of my Instagram pages today, car owners and photographers send in photos for a chance to get featured and i received this the other day. thought i'd share it here
  4. will check that out thanks, ha, just realized i had a similar thread pretty much exactly a year ago too,
  5. okay just talking here no any solid plans or whatever. Beginning of next year im going to move to the UK and i'll be taking my Datsun with me, and ive been thinking of swapping in a mazda mx-5(miata) 1.8 engine into it or more likely the engine and rear subframe and suspension bits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2FtP47EPuc this video shows another datsun with the swap done and it looks very tidy now the MX5's are very cheap in the uk and there are plenty of parts available, for about 500 pounds i can pick up a complete and road legal mk1 or mk2 mx5 1.8 that i could use as donor car. at 147HP stock horsepower it would be a neat and reliable upgrade as well as cheap modding. also thinking of doing atleast the rear suspension/subframe from the mx5 for better handling, can handle the power, and more aftermarket options. Now what are your thoughts on it? keep in mind I dont intend to ever sell this car (I almost did once but just couldnt).
  6. interesting cars ive yet to see one in real life. 100a is FWD but thats the thing they are consistently more expensive than 120ys facebook, autoscout24, ebay.co.uk marktplaats.nl and autotrader sometimes i browse the spanish classifieds too, always fun too see whats available to buy
  7. i keep tabs on eu based datsun facebook pages and occasionally do some late night classified browsing and overall the prices for 100A datsuns are considerably higher comparable than 120Ys, whats the deal? where as 120y would be for sale at 1200 euros another 100a thats similar is for sale at 3k euros also 100A datsuns are much more common than 120ys i find (at least on the classifieds)
