  1. How do you fill that? I'm guessing it has something to do with that valve coming off the filler neck.
  2. Yes as far as I know. I follow a few guys in japan on Instagram that have 2 door sedans and post others from shows.
  3. Blue Lake!!! That takes me back, I have around 8 trophies from those shows.
  4. In 1999 I bought a dark Shit Brown 1983 280zx 5 speed that had a fresh top to bottom restoration for $1500 (guy was moving out of country). In the year I owned that car, I beat the living shit out of it. What can i say, it was my first car. I sold it with a non operating clutch for $1000 dollars. High school cool mod list: Cut springs 2 1/2" exhaust with flowmaster 40 series white badges black spay tinited side marker lights datsun seat belt pads momo wheel, pedals and shift knob all red spay tinted tailights 2 12" subs and a mini disk player
  5. Ha Ha nice! I would be shooting for a nice and chill 650ish. If MrBigTucker makes me a good offer for just the motor, i'll keep the 510 and swap it with something really fun.
  6. Honestly I want to sell the whole car and I might put it on BAT Action or EBAY. I have it running great but it really needs something like fuel injection or 50mm carbs to get optimum performance. it made 179whp on the Rebello Dyno with the 40mm Makuni Solex's I have on it now but i'm running them without a choke and they are gutted so it loads up at idle. I want to keep it and continue my quest for 200whp but with my new child i just dont have time anymore to keep tweeking it. I think I'll get something like a 98 Dodge Viper (last year with forged internals) and Supercharge it.
  7. Lets talk about a price, for the whole car maybe...
  8. With your crazy attention to weight savings, how come you went with glass and not plastic?
  9. AMAZING TRUCK! do you plan on adding some chrome to the back to match the front and wheels? Maybe silver leaf shadow on the datsun logo? Just a starting idea.
  10. Take that back out and come buy my motor.
  11. Nice build so far! At your age I picked up a 90% restored 280zx for $1500 (1999) and learned to turn wrenches from my mom much like you are from your dad. Never stop learning and dont take this time for granted, you will always remember it. I was looking at your signature, are you planning on painting the car yellow one day? Maybe you mentioned this in your thread and I missed it.
  12. These tires are not stretched (Note the lip on the wheel is not exposed). If you go look at either of the cars in person, the sidewall of the tire is actually buldging past the outer limit of the wheel. First picture: The tires are under load because the car is activly cornering to the right, which makes the tire appeare to be stretched. Look at the tire on the other front wheel, you can clearly see it is buldging. Second picture: The tire appears to be stretched on the lotus because of the angle of the picture. Its no different then how fat people make themselves look thin on social meadia.
  13. Correct, but we are function over form guys. This car will get a lot of attention at shows with this set up and thats what I belive he is going for. If he was trying for traction he wouldnt of stretched the tire because you cant air it down a few PSI without popping a bead.
  14. Message sent from a helpful Oregon resident that lives here in SoCal. I have two options for you regarding your car you might be interested in. Hit me up, plenty of people on here can vouch that I'm a good guy that won't screw you over. #LoopHoles
