    LSD for 720

Necro... Why pre 98? What's the difference
  2. Huh... I suppose that could have been phrased a little better. I was asking about the ignition coils...
  3. LOL! I picked up a new coolant bottle for a Ford Focus and I'm going to have to relocate one of the ignition coils slightly to make it work. Is there any reason they need to be mounted at 45 degrees like stock? The best place to move it puts it almost vertical...
  4. A setup that may work for these rear ends is 2001ish Isuzu Rodeo Sport rotors and 1998ish Mustang Cobra rear calipers. I'm building a 4wd Toyota pickup rear end with this setup. The rotors fit over the axle flange and the calipers have integrated parking brake. I haven't measured, but the axles look similar in size. You'll have to make your own brackets and figure a way to hook up the parking brake, but it should work on these trucks, also.
  5. Just had the windshield replaced. What is the function of the chrome piece on the bottom center other than the windshield linkage reinforcement?
  6. Well, looks like I'm going to be putting a Weber 32/36 on. I had hoped to go straight to TBI, but I have to have her running well/reliably by the middle of next month. The best place I have found so far looks to be http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/product_p/wk646.htm. Is this the place to go? Also, anybody have answers to these:
  7. All of the black ones I've seen are designated as 4wd lamps. Will they fit a 2wd? Most other mini trucks 2wd and 4wd lights are different...
  8. I HATE chrome...so that's definitely going. The paint is not flat olive camo paint it's a nice satin finish, and I like it. The original paint is jacked: dog nails on the hood that go down to bare metal and paint transfer from the sideswipe that do the same.
  9. Oh, yeah, the windows only roll partway down because the felts are all jacked up at the bottom. The only place I've been able to find them is http://www.new-datsun-parts.com/datsun-nissan-720-truck-parts.html?unique=14205900850096851. Is that place legit and are there other options?
  10. Hey, I've already posted a few times getting stuff worked out so she's drivable. It was my sister's truck that's been sitting for 6 years, just got her running again a few weeks ago. Replaced cap, rotor, plugs and wires and adjusted the valves. I also replace a crap load of toast/nibbled vacuum lines. I Just got home from a shop cleanout, but here she is: She's been abused a bit by a deer, some brush, a dog standing on the hood and being sideswiped while parked, but in pretty good shape considering. The plan is the olive for the entire truck and black for the trim. Are the markers the same 2wd and 4wd? They both need to be replaced and I'd like to skip the step of painting the chrome for now. I would like to eliminate the stock front turn signals, also. Is there a guide to wire a dual-filament socket in the corner lights? She started with the stock 14" steelies with some toast tires, so I scored these old chevy steelies and stole the almost new tires off my 2wd Toyota project, cleaned them up and painted them bronze metallic...kinda hard to make out in my crappy cell photos but it's pretty sweet. I'm looking for some centers for them, bullet or cone tip. 4.25" center hole, 4" deep max. Anyone have any ideas? And she had some rats living in her for a bit. They ate their way in through the shift boot. Is there a similar aftermarket boot that fits somewhat the same, anywhere? The plan is to run fuel only megasquirt and 1bbl GM TBI. I haven't been able to find anyone who has done this, Any links? That's it for now.
  11. Washed the felt out, was able to get it sealed. I'm not sure if that was the issue, but something worked. Thanks!
  12. OK, got a chance to look at the filter. It looks like some kind of felt? Is it supposed to be? Can they be cleaned or do I need a new one? Where would I get one? Just thought of this: I ran the valve cover throught the parts washer at work. Could that have plugged something behind the baffle? I haven't had a chance to get the valve cover back off to check this.
