  1. I don't know what your floor pans looked like, or mine for that matter because I'm out of town at school, but what about just jacking the frame rails extensions into position and welding them in? Would the floorpans pop into the vehicle into a concave? Could the extensions just be clearanced easier than the floor pan? Just wondering? I want to do extensions in my 510 too. Great in depth write ups too. I've used the POR 15 gas tank sealer kit. It worked great.
  2. Makes me want to weld up a log manifold and throw on one of my Mitsubishi turbos just for kicks. Car is runnin ridiculously rich since I moved anyway. Definitely in for some pics though.
  3. I've used the POR15 system for the interior of my 510's gas tank and... it doesn't leak anyway. I'd definitely use it again. It's nice that the rust convertor part is reusable as well. Great progress by the way
  4. Cool to see a thread with almost daily positive updates. Your definitely diving in deep and quick. Congrats! Cool story attached, and all my respect to your father (mine was in the Canadian military).
  5. Red thru this thread over the last few days and just gotta say, wowsers! I like that this went from *just* moar low to an aktual racecar. Lovin the junkyard Frankensteinery that is this project. Looks fuckin great! And is now functional too. Only shitty thing is that PPK's pics over the last 10 pages or so didnt want to show up on my ipad. Keep it up, I'm sure we're all lernin a little something (including how to spell lazey)
  6. I don't know why this thread didn't get more love. Kudos on the machine work Atomman! That's an incredible idea for bump steer spacers. Get a wider track and correct some LCA geometry at the same time. Clean idea and install on the upper strut mounts as well.
  7. Great info! Thanks to everybody who has posted findings. This thread will be useful to so many people. I wish I could justify new dampers, but the old ones aren't leaking (even though the rears are about a foot too long) and we have 3 other vehicles that would love something new more than the Datto needs shocks.
  8. Interested in updates on this beeyatch. I like your style Jrock B-) can't wait to see some full body pics (Of the car I mean)
  9. I just read your thread over your last days and didn't want it to end. Your car has gone through quite a transformation and is quite impressive. You do a lot of stuff that most of us only dream of. I was sad to get to the current "end" of this thread :(. Wish I made time to get to Canby when I lived on the west coast of Canada. For sure sub'd for updates. Keep it up on the track! It's definitely a great time.
  10. Wicked car man. Love the "reversed" wheel tubs and paint job, including cherry blossoms. Looking forward to updates.
