  1. I will post all parts in the classifieds when they are removed. Everything is in good shape. Ideally I would like to trade some pieces for a rust free passenger fender and bed. If the fender comes available before then I would gladly pay for it now. When I get back to Seattle I will get the work done ASAP.
  2. That sounds like it could work. Since you are a ways away from where I have the truck I will need to get every part together. Once those torsion bars are cut out I will need all the pieces to put the front end back together. I have the drop spindles on order and will contact Beebani about the rotor adapters for my 300zx calipers. So far I am still looking for hubs at the pick and pulls. Would you be willing to help with the install of the new parts guyster? I may wait on the rust holes until after the suspension is sorted out. The least amount of downtime would be ideal. Let me know.
  3. Hello Ratsun members. Well I've got a 77 620 that needs some work. Recently I picked up the coil over brackets lower control arms and upper control arms from beebani. They are excellent! I do not have a welder or the skills to install these so I wanted to ask you guys if there is someone near the Lynwood Washington area that could do the work. Also I need to pick up the hubs spindles and other parts for the swap but am confused on exactly what years to pull the parts from. It would be awesome if someone here had them for sale and I could just buy them. Also there are some rust holes on the body that I would like welded up if possible. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks
  4. I've been talking with a guy in California about the motor swap and suspension work. For that truck the main goal is handling. It'll be an sr motor with a subframe welded in the rear and I'm still not sure what to do up front. I've got an M3 as a daily and I'd like the truck to handle somewhere between that and the 620. Looks like some have done 240 subframes front and rear with success. Not sure if that is the route to go though. For the other truck it just needs body work done. Would Frank or icehouse be the guys to talk to about that? Rust spots fixed and the body straightened primed and painted. Nothing too fancy or extravagant. Just a good 5 footer. That truck is for my little sister. The other is for me.
  5. Help with the body work or the motor swap and suspension? And how far away are you. The body work truck is in Seattle and the other is still in Alaska right now.
  6. Hey guys. Well the time has come for me to dump some money into the 620. I've got a long list of work that I would like done but firstly I need a body shop. The truck has minimal rust spots but needs the fenders aligned and panel gaps adjusted. Basically I'm looking for a good body shop preferably in the Seattle area that some of the members have used or could recommend. I've got another 620 that I'd like to put 10-12k into. Motor swap and all new suspension. That one can live at a shop for a year if need be. I won't be able to get that one until late may. So to summarize. Need a body shop for one 620. And I need another shop to turn my other truck into something exciting for around 10-12k. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks -Sparks

    scrap or rebuild?

there arent any rad shops here in town. i may be able to make it to anchorage if i found one there. having a datsun in alaska makes it difficult to get parts. ordered a intake gasket and thats going to take 7-10 days to make it up here.

    scrap or rebuild?

the head was pretty warped. the shop milled it down so its completely flat now. new gasket and fluids and its up and running again. im trying to find a good radiator for it but not sure what to order. seen a few on ebay for around 250 but they look to have different necks on the lower outlet. i can order one through napa up here but it will end up costing more than one of those aluminum ones off ebay.

    scrap or rebuild?

threw the head back on there, dumped some fluids in there and it fired right up. have an exhaust leak but thats because i had to reuse the gasket. the one in the kit was for round port. on my way to the store to get the gasket. feels good to have it back. thanks for the help.

    scrap or rebuild?

running great before this. my radiator has a pinhole in it and i work on boats and left it parked for 5 weeks. i imagine the coolant had enough time to leak out in that period. i didnt do a compression check before this happened but it ran great. plenty of power. didnt burn any oil. it has a leak from the timing cover and a slow one from the rear main but didnt burn any oil.

    scrap or rebuild?

cylinders still have the hone marks in them. not a scratch or gouge anywhere.
  13. well i got the engine apart today. i ran it way too hot without coolant a couple months ago and then dumped some in so i could go back to work. bubbled out of control and when i started it nothing but white smoke out the exhaust. i have drained all the coolant from the oil and cleaned out the cylinders. my headgasket was still intact with no indication that it failed. a straight edge to the head reveals that it is no longer flat. while im prepared to have that sent off tomorrow for a shave but i found two cracks in the usual spot between #2 and #3 cylinders. cracks go from the water passage to the headbolt threads. these are the only two cracks on the block. im unsure if they are new or have been there for a while. my question after reading other posts is should i scrap the block or would it be okay to run it the way it is? thanks in advance for the input. -Sparks
  14. I'm in Alaska and waiting on someone in Lynnwood to take the pics. They will be on there as soon as I have them. The body is a little rough. Dents in hood and fenders aren't straight. Disc brakes all around. Star adjusters are in two at least. Driveshaft is out and in garage. No steering box on it. Just a lot of parts I didn't need and now it's somewhere that I can't store it any longer.
