few more small updates, did some test fit on the wheels and completly rebuilt the halfshafts. still waiting on a diff to put the rear suspension together.

So that is pretty much caught up to where I'm at now. I picked up a 3.91 K stamp R180 that my buddy is putting the LSD in now. Once I get that back and the rear suspension goes in the motor and trans come out. Trans is a Borg Warner from the zx turbo, motor I am re using as its a good motor, L28 high compression with a 270/280 cam. The battery tray and firewall at the tray need to be fixed then the bay painted. I also ditched the whole factory heating system and went with a compact summit unit. will need to weld in some mounting tabs, but will fit no problem.

After I got the car back I got it cleaned up and was in the middle of another project. The z sat in the garage until last winter when I started tear down.

Hey new to Ratsun, been around cars forever. Figured I would start a build thread to kind of introduce myself. Built lots of cars over the years (G35, AE86, sc400 6speed, several 240sx's) but this will be my first datsun. Ive always had a thing for the 240z since I was a little kid, now I finally got my hands on a decent one. History on the car goes, my dad bought this car back in 2006. He drove it for a few years here and there (not much) then it needed some general matanance, the most noticable being that the carbs were way out of tune. So he parked it rather then fixing it, and there it sat on the side of the house until summer last year when I finally convinced him to sell it to me.
