  1. Ok well i'm just going to buy a new one than. Thanks guys.
  2. Well it keeps coming out of place so it's just loose in the inside. The spring is there and the fuel pump does have a spacer. I was driving when it happened it just stopped delivering the fuel and the car turned off on me. I uninstalled it and the the metal parts on the sides of the lever where out of the slots. My fuel pump does not have any bolts on the top.
  3. Hey guys. So the lever in my mechanical fuel pump keeps collapsing. I uninstall the fuel pump put the lever back on and it just collapses when I turn the car on. Any ideas why it does that? Is it broken? Pump is not that old probably going to be a year since I replaced it. 1972 Datsun 510 stock Thanks.
  4. I manage to put them all back. I was just wondering, but thanks for letting me know. It's good to know this info.
  5. Hey! Quick question, is the pigtail on the negative battery cable a must have or can I go without it? Just wondering since I've seen other cars without it. 510 sedan 1972 Thanks.
  6. Don't really think i have the tools to make my own right now.
  7. They are all cover with electrical tape right now i'm assuming that's how the previous owner set it up. I'm going to remove it and see what the damaged is to the other cables. Do you think this might have caused any damage to the alternator?
  8. I know, but this hole other problem is getting in the way of that problem so i gotta fix that one first so i can fix this one.
  9. Hey! So the small cable on the negative cable from the battery to the volt regulator ripped while I was driving the car and burnt up all the insulation on it. Then another cable that's from the Volt regulator to the alternator also burned up. oh, also i looked at my fuse box and the only one that looks burned up was the one on common I wanted to know what kind of damaged was caused and how can i fix it. any info could help,Thanks Here are some pics I took. http://imgur.com/a/sgcXF Datsun 510 sedan
