Nearly 9 months since my last post. Not too much has changed, still enjoying it! New lowering blocks on the rear making it a inch lower, rear air shocks, new door cards, steering wheel, replaced the old fault cigarette lighter for a twin usb, glass gear knob and just general loving. My buddy even used it as his wedding vehicle, nothing classier than patina! Unfortunately it will be having its first bit of welding this month on the drivers cill, shit happens, it is 46. Better to nip it in the bud! Keep on truckin

Right, its been a busy summer. The truck has seen a few new additions. Yellow headlights, new plates, carpets and a few other mechanical bits. The trucks running great! Fixed the heater, it was filled with aload of shit (pictured). It even helped out a mate of mines 51 Ford F6 in a moment of need. Having some troubles with keeping water out now the weathers shit here in England but i know the spot just need to seal the screen properly. New steering wheel in the near future and hopefully lower! Also met up with a fellow 521 owner at a show, very rare for over here as i think there is only 4/5 521/520s. Any feedback would be good! Keep on truckin man

I haven't had time to check because I have to go to work but mine has had the ignition light on for the past week (wasn't sure if it had kicked into life or not) anyway, is it like it suggests above bad alternator earth? I'll look in more detail tonight.

I've lost half of one of my "datsun 1600" fender badges only 521. just wondered if anyone had any they would sell? thanks!

Also does anyone have any datsun 1600 front wing badges they would sell? lost a 'datsu' on the drivers side.

3" lowering blocks and torsion bar wound up today. much better! had to play with the exhaust to stop it hitting the bed, a non standard back box was fitted I believe. looks much better

Thanks mate! we're a rare breed. lowering blocks have come into the shop today! they will be ordered tonight, 3" lower soon!

@randywanger, Yeah the L series engine is my plan thus far, I don't know enough mechanically to swap it and it's treated me good so far, never been used to anything with a big lump anyway, but who knows. Desperately waiting on lowering blocks! will be the next few weeks I hope, it needs to come down!

on the weekend I put my first coat of ankor wax on the truck. Its mainly used on agricultural vehicles but it's good for keeping the weather out. especially in England where rust on classic cars is a real struggle! the Nevada desert was good to her, now so should England. first coat is on, it rained yesterday (of course it did) And has highlighted a few spots in missed so will be doing another coat this week! even got a reflection out of the 44 year old original paint. not bad for a desert liver.
