Hi all, Well.............Its been about 30 years since I have started both my 510 and 620 truck, and its that time. for my 73 620 truck 1. I have a Mallory distributor (without vac advance) and I would like to convert the dual point set-up to a "unilite". Does anyone know where to get that stuff? 2. I would also like an extra set of points. For my 72 510 I also bought a distributor from a 79 620 with the built-in module. Does the primary side need a ballast resistor? What is the primary current for this set-up? What is the ohm value for the coil? Thank you all, Martin

Greetings all, I'm new to Ratsun and am pleased to be around people who love Datsuns. I have three Datsuns that I'm restoring. A Datsun 510, 620 truck and turbo 280zx. I have had my Datsuns since 1979/1980 and its time to play again! I have an older version of the v912 head on a motor i built in 1983 and I am looking for another one. Any ideas regarding where to find one? I have a flow bench and porting equipment. Therefore, I can make a copy as long as i have a peanut head. However, those of you that have ported/polished a head know that its a lot of work. Any direction or leads will be deeply appreciated. Looking for help, Lorozco

LOOKING FOR THE INFAMOUS V912 HEAD. HAS ANYONE SEEN OR HEARD OF ONE FOR SALE. IVE HAD MY 510 FOR OVER 34 YEARS AND IM LUCKY TO HAVE ONE OF THE ORIGINAL HEADS! HOWEVER, IDE LIKE TO BUY ONE MORE FOR ANOTHER PROJECT IM WORKING ON. SEVERAL QUESTIONS: 1. WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED FIVE SPEED TRANSMISSION FOR A 510? 2. HAS ANYONE SEEN AN 87A HEAD? 3. ALSO LOOKING FOR AN OLD MALLORY UNILITE DISTRIBUTOR/PARTS ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS!
