We do know for a fact the flat earthers and Q anon believers are nuts. Comparing them to anybody that questions predictions is a little overboard.

A couple of really good questions there Mike. I believe that mankind could be helping the planet to warm but I'm in no way convinced of that. I say that knowing the planet warmed without our help or influence. And our efforts to curb the warming ? It's costing us a fortune while China and India cancel out everything we do to curb air pollution. And with the population of this planet there's no way we're going to stop anything unless we go extinct. I'm not even convinced the planet is warming much at all. A few tenths of a degree means what in reality ? We've had the thermometer for a few hundred years now and nobody knows how hot or cold it was 500 or so years ago. I live where it frequently gets over 100 degrees in the summer. The last few summers haven't been too bad while other parts of the country are roasting. It's the planet and the weather being it's typical self. One thing I've always wondered about causes of warming is the paving of our planet with asphalt and concrete. Stand on an asphalt road when it's sunny and warm and stand on a patch of grass. Notice the difference. How many thousands of square miles of asphalt are there ? We're removing the things that remain cooler when it's warm and replacing them with things that get hotter when it's warm.

Or they got in line with the rest of them for a paycheck. Go against the grain and lose your job. It's climate change now not global warming.

Yes King tide. They're not rare by any means. We've had them several times this year combined with a northwest storm and high surf. We have them every year. It causes flooding. Stronger than normal tidal push and wind together cause problems occasionally. It's weird the oceans are rising so fast. I've been a beachgoer my whole life. The waterline is still where it was 50 years ago as far as I can tell. Everything that was there 50 years ago is still there.
