  1. I plan on using the zx fronts and the ford rear discs. I'm afraid the rear calipers may need more fluid, so I haven't really decided on anything yet. I do think It would be better to keep the booster. Cutting the manifold may be the easiest option. Thank for the link Indy. some good ideas in there too.
  2. Has anyone converted from power to manual brakes? I've stripped this thing down to bare bones and need the room for my intake manifold. Would love to read any experiences
  3. rolleyes...... I think I can handle myself just fine. I've made it 45 years without a problem. It's not like I'm talking about any old public street. We have a nice shop parking lot and I have a nice long driveway. I'm really meaning at the street outlaws events. IE; unprepped asphalt surface vs prepped track. Not that I really need to explain myself to you. Anyway back to more fun stuff. Received a few pieces today to mock up:
  4. Yeah, but it wouldn't be enough for me. two things I'm really looking forward to is wheelstands on the street and revving to 9000 rpms. I've never had a really high rpm engine.
  5. not sure if it'll be big horsepower. I'm really just looking for around 500-600. Should be very easy with this engine.
  6. It should be fun on takeoff. It's coming along quicker now that I've collected most of the parts. I'll be adding some more pics of the assembly this week.
  7. making slow progress over the last couple weeks. Waiting on the cage before doing the rear end, so I can tie the coil overs into the rear down bars. I ordered a toyota corrolla cage from S&W race cars since the cars have very similar dimensions. I have been enjoying the gas mileage in the mean time and the looks I get with the bigger tires on the rear :) I've been collecting parts and doing some small work in the mean time. I have also started doing the welding to convert the front end to an earlier version. I need to find a grill and headlight assemblies if anyone knows where I can find them. Couple of pics At home after the cutting of the sheet metal to fit tires and wheels where the front end is at this point Next to my other toy I should get the new front wheels and tires next week. I'll upload a pic of that, bc I think it's gonna look pretty badass.
  8. Thanks. New to this site. I'll find it.
  9. Hi, I'm looking for an earlier version from mine (1980 b310) in regards to the grill, headlights, buckets etc. I will either replace the fenders or weld in the turn signal area like another member Herr has done. Thanks for the info
  10. Love the front. I was going to get'79 fenders, but yours has inspired me to use mine and do what you're doing here
  11. Pistons lol. Damon auto correct.
  12. I like this build. Been a Chevy guy all my life. Kind of went to the dark side when I came back to the cars, but I did use Chevy positions in my Porsche engine.
