  1. Hi guys, I'm new to ratsun and I have a question about a clutch issue. First off, I bought my '72 Datsun 510 from a mechanic in Portland at the beginning of the year and I have absolutely loved it. It has a 2.4 litre NAPSZ block, I believe, and a U67 head. He also put a 280zx tranny on it, Centerforce clutch, and a Subaru lsd. Chopped the springs to lower it slightly, and hooked up a NOS wet system. I haven't used the NOS yet because I'm waiting to get an AFR gauge to make sure I don't blow anything up. All the work done seems to be very professional and very clean, and I drove it from Portland to Provo, Utah without any issues after buying it. Since then the only issue I've had is the front left brake caliper locking up, but that was an easy fix--280zx calipers, btw. As for the clutch: I hadn't had any issues with it at all until I drove it away from my house yesterday, and it would grind trying to get it into reverse. Eventually it went in, and I drove it in traffic on the freeway, shifting between all gears constantly without any issues, until I got to JDM Legends an hour away. When I got in my car to leave, the reverse was grinding again, but worse this time, but I also couldn't get into any gear at all with the engine running. The clutch pedal hasn't shown any noticable loosening or more play, it's still providing the same amount of resistence, I believe. Anyway, I'm heading up there today to take a look at it, but wanted to get any imput from you guys that I could. Thanks in advance.
