  1. Tore the carburetor apart found the gasket between the body and buttery fly valves distorted causing air to bypass and the secondary's aren't opening up. there sticking and I think the vacuum is not working. I am ether going to get a new carb or order the vacuum diafram.
  2. Engine runs fine for a few minutes even drives OK. But then shuts down like it starving for fuel and the fuel sigh glass show full. Went to old style point and condenser because of electronic unit keep failing. Engine was totally rebuilt valve job done head surfaced. Timing set, replaced fuel pump and filter twice. got some bad gas drained the fuel tank. thinking it could be the carburetor. Any one else had this problem?
  3. @ Sastis Do you have the glove box door & latch assembly? You can reach me at jacobball2000@gmail.com
  4. If you are referring to my remark Bananahamuck . The cars didn't go to the junk yard they went to the dealership then straight to the crusher. Putting a shortage of available car parts and a lot of junk yards out of business . We lost over half the junk yards here in Tucson! Because Obama's law that junkyards are not to have any cars older than ten years. I keep my eyes wide open to what was going on. Look at your statement and remember Obama took office in 2008.
  5. As far as the older cars being crushed you can thank Obama ( O bummer ) for that one! His cash for clunker bit! just another way to make the car company's rich.
  6. Anyone know where I can get a glove box door for a 79 620
  7. Looking for glove box door for 79 Datsun 620 any help?
  8. Question? Dose that year come with the crank Poisson sensor? On the side of the block if it is bad or worn out it will send bad info to the computer affecting the timing. like the dodge neon has a disturber on the cam but gets it signal from the crank sensor.
  9. check the rear MAINS!!!! They could be jumping up and down! Get your book out drain the oil and pull the pan. Start becoming your own mechanic.
  10. Sounds to me like you have a connecting rod barring bad or lose. I had the same problem sounded like timing chain but it's not. Old mech way of checking where the noise is coming from! Is to take an old wooden broom stick put one end to your ear the other end on the engine near the oil pan start from front to back and lessen for the noise! bet to one number 3 connecting barring bad. It might help if you have some one rev the engine up to hear the noise. The engine I have needs to be rebuilt. I put new mains and rod barring's in mine. Also found out that these engines are known for oil starvation on the barring's. But they are the closest to a 100 hp your going to get. the newer engines are less. These are die hard engines. good luck.
