  1. Thanks for the compliments, and your right I lost the 'rat' part along time ago
  2. kinda where she's sitting as of today I cut the front rad support out to ease the engine install plus it has major sheet metal damage. I do have a pretty mint frt clip I will be putting on when I iron out the engine, rad, fan and intercooler stuff. tks, Shayne
  3. 5% underdrive alternator pulley, stock is 5.8 oz aprox 20% underdrive crank pulley, stock is 6 lbs (not totally sure I'm goina use this as space is pretty tight) ARP head bolts and Cometic gasket. The 2 front studs need to have 3 or 4 threads cut off in order to clear the cam gears
  4. picked up a nice td0617c with extra goodies Fidanza 11lb flywheel engine has around 240,000km, cylinder head has 300 miles
  5. so posting pics has been a royal pain in the ass, had to dig out a 7 year old laptop that takes forever, honestly easier to do a engine swap. I'll try to update as often as I can but guessing its only a matter of time till this computer bites the dust too. here has been the resting place for the last few years, back in the shop dug the motor and tranny back out. 2.4L, 5spd got some help on this project now that my boy is old enough, he is loving the old Datsun
  6. Something must be wonky on my end, I clicked the img box in Photobucket, it highlights yellow then I right click and copy, then I come back over here and try to get the curser which doesn't seem to come up easy, right click doesn't bring up a paste option, and control V doesn't work either.
  7. Hi guys, its been a few years since I last looked at the truck much less do anything to her, but with our economic situation in the oilfield manufacturing and servicing I've found a bit of spare time again. I will be updating off and on as the project takes place, thanks for listening. and figure out how to get pics off of photobucket again?..... Shayne
  8. The 3rz in stock form does not take too much boost, weak rods due to the longer stroke. The 2rz will run 15psi all day in stock form (plus head gasket and studs) shayne
  9. Oops I ment s256 thanks for catching that andrewhans. The powdercoating elements are just stove ones. Just find the right size to fit your cabinet. shayne
  10. Ya a aluminum rad would be sweet.
  11. Thanks for the compliments guys, I did remove the Toyota symbol off the valve cover
  12. Homemade forward facing intake engine on the way out now just waiting on some tranny bolts and engine mounts to start the mock up, along with figuring out what kinda radiator can get squeezed in there. shayne
  13. So here is the engine thats going in the 620 - Toyota 2rz / w59 standard 5 speed tranny. Stock around 150 hp, crank. and a little shot of my daily driver with engine in the back picked up a oil pan from the Toyota T100 3rz engine which is a rear sump (2rz is a front sump) Stainless manifold, though I havn't decided on the turbo yet. First choice is a BorgWarner s256, but.........? Had this bad boy sitting on the shelf for a few years, maybe too big lol!
  14. Looking for options on radiators when engine swaps are done. I'm putting in a Toyota 2rz (4 cylinder) in my 1974 620. The over all length / width / height is right close to the stock 1.8 engine but its goina be around the 275/300 rwhp mark with turbo so I don't think the stock rad will be up to it. Also goina run a electric fan. thanks for your help guys. shayne
