Yeah, so delete this post, ha! That's what I get for not tracing it properly, or at all after a third inspection. Regardless, interesting it's a thing and now I know why I haven't found jack on it. Thanks!

Recently I refurbished a gauge cluster for a buddy and had to do some board level circuit repair on a burned trace. We installed said gauge cluster today, looking at the old one we noticed the exact same trace burned through. Just wondered if anyone else had come across this issue? This is a picture of said circuit.
