  1. oh it was. got it off though tackle other side tomorrow
  2. Butting in on Bushing Banter... So just weld the washer towards front of vehicle cupped out? Neat... And also, I have pressed my upper control arm bushings out and they are still connected to the bar that bolts to frame. How does one remove the inner sleeve from said bar??? I have cutting tools and a press
  3. Ive been having mine pulled apart for too long that i cant remember how it goes back together. Ill get some pics up and see if we can figure this out.
  4. Rite on getting flushed and fluided will post some pics once shes all pretty. Thanks for the tips guys. Now i know
  5. O believe me we are having a good time. Thanks for the input.will Give these a shot once patience is at a proper level.
  6. Ok got my 85 720 2wd kc with bad z24. Trying to drop in my good z24 from my 83 2wd kc. Used the engine brackets from 85 because dowels were in different spots. However only one side is wanting to line up at a time. Is there certain points to hang the engine from or something else that i might be doing wrong? The truck is on the ground and passenger side is connected with the engine dangling on the picker.
  7. Yeah I got the whole ignition from my 720. Just getting waaay to confused. Going return some tools so I can buy parts to work on something else. Its getting serious...
  8. i was debating on smaller ones, but i think ill just pretty them up. Will be going through Louisiana around the holidays if I can get back to work so I can get this thing moving.
  9. Thanks for all the help so far guys. Been working myself out of a funk since the accident. Working on these trucks got my arm working again and my broke neck aint too broke anymore. Looking at all these pretty truck and hard work is inspiring.
  10. I have the 38 Weber carb so no idle cut solenoid just choke wire. as for the dual coils, pretty much just replace ballast with relay and plug n play?
  11. Awesome thanks Mike. Once i get this engine cradled ill be on it. For now ive got these engine brackets... Driver side says Z18Y passenger has Z22 and the tabs dont line up with the holes on mounts. these look familiar? No engine hoist either so its hard with me a buddy and a tractor.
  12. Ive got nice fenders to prime and paint while i work on other things but my hands are full and pockets are empty at the moment.
  13. Biggest issue Im having with this 620 is the rust... However, I plan on grafting the floor out of the 720 into this thing since the cab is squished a bit. The bed wasnt too bad, so some sandblasting and rhinolining is in order and she should be good to go. But this floor... ...has got to go.
