Thanks so much for all the replies. Sounds like I just need to start over and triple check that everything is correctly adjusted and bleed the system again. Any merit to pulling the master and bleeding it again? It has not run dry during any work since installation.

1973 620 - Bought truck about 4 years ago and brakes would only slightly work when pedal was on the floor. I have since replaced master, booster, rear cylinders, rear shoes. Front shoes and drums replaced by PO. Bench bled master, set adjusters at all 4 corners, bled system. Pedal is soft and truck doesnt stop until pedal is bottomed out. Pulls about 18hg/in vacuum at idle, booster check valve still good. I'm at a complete loss, I just want to drive my truck! Please help!

Blew up my 88 Toyota Celica and went to the SF Bay looking for a Mazda MX6. Turned out to be a bust. Saw an '81 280ZX on the way home and fell in love. I was 19 at the time. So glad things turned out the way they did!

My 1973 240z had an aftermarket sunroof installed and it was crap so I chucked it when I stripped the car down for rebuild. I bought another roof from someone and proceeded to perform the swap. I'm not a body guy and expected to have a bit of massaging done before paint. How far should I take the roof? Prep/tack the new skin on? Perform no welding? Tack/grind/etc.? I don't want to do too much or too little and have the body shop cursing me for being a dummy. Thanks!

Modified parking to deter thieves.

Worked on the truck a little today. Jacked it up and attempted to bleed the brakes after installing a new master cylinder. Wasn't having much luck getting rid of the spongy brake pedal feel so I popped off the rear drums. Was planning to change the shoes anyway. Found the cylinders leaking brake fluid inside the drum. Also sprayed PB blaster on all the nuts and bolts I plan to remove soon so I can update the suspension. Man I tell you that stuff is AMAZING! Scraped off a bunch of grease from the tie rods and removed the cotter pins and nuts. Ran out of time to pull them all loose. Removed the gigantic mirrors also. Not sure what I'm going to replace them with yet. I keep thinking I want fender mirrors but haven't fully decided. I'm going to have to do a little patch work in the doors! Until next time. Thanks for the tip! I plan to fresh up the suspension and brakes, interior, and little lowering job. Should be enough for now. Going to be a kart hauler to get to the track and back and maybe shuttle parts for my 240Z.

NICE! Just got home from a business trip to find many boxes full of suspension components. Tie rods, ball joints, lowering blocks, bushings and shocks. I have a lot of work to do...

Did you lower the front just by adjusting the torsion bars? How's the negative camber at that height? It looks pretty manageable.

Hey Ratsuners, I've been trolling around here for a few months as I was shopping for a 620 and looking for some info. I finally found a nice little truck and decided I would post. Truck is all original (except for electronic ignition), with 82k miles. Someone put some primer/rust protection? on the roof and hood which I have been slowly removing with rubbing compound. There is still some red paint and original primer underneath and I'm excited to reveal the true character of this old Ratsun! Here are some pics:
