  1. it's probably worth just picking up both of those things and installing them?
  2. 79 210, 4speed A14. I will post some pics when I get home.I'm glad you understood what I meant, I was using voice recognition on the freeway when I made my last post and it looked funkier than I thought it would. thanks for the prompt reply.
  3. when I get up to he's tired than 65 miles an hour I notice that there is a rattle that comes from the shift lever. If I put my hand on it, this goes away, but I can't feel deliver vibrating. is there something that I can type in to stop this? Am I in any danger of getting thrown out of gear or anything of that sort? Thanks!
  4. Good luck man. The pump is easy enough to find...but the bracket, what a nightmare.
  5. Annnnnd after some looking this looks like its built into the exhaust manifold...leading me to believe that maybe this has been swapped out or covered up? Here's some pics of the area that I'm talking about:
  6. Allright, so another setback. I've discovered that I'm missing the EGR passage as well. I'm going to check the yard in Fort Collins to see if i can pull it off the wagon up there.. any idea if I could fit it onto my coupe?
  7. @sierra Hey man, I got it squared away with the guy from Alabama. Sorry I didn't get back a little earlier, I was on the road from Utah and didn't see your message until today.
  8. @sierra I was able to get in touch with the guy from Alabama. He sending it out here this week. If you do end up getting the part, I will still compensate you for your time.
  9. @sierra, I'm here at the yard in SLC. Both these 210s are pretty stripped. Could I throw you some dollars to grab the lower air pump bracket off of that one you saw down there?
  10. Here's a pic of the bracket that I need. Its for the lower screw hole on the air pump, and fits just under and behind the fan (there's 3 screw holes there and note that the pump is currently attached, this is the only pic I could find)
  11. So the parts came in. Got the blue arm and pulley, shown above and some hoses. I'm still not sure how to hook it all up.. @Sierra, is there any way that you could get a photo from behind there and show how the bottom of the pump connects? I think they guy didn't send me the other most critial part of this, the bottom air pump bracket. ARRRRRGH! I am going to SLC this weekend with my band, so hepfully I can get to the pick-n-save there to grab the rest of what I need.
  12. That's it. The guy that I spoke with in alabama said he shipped my parts and it should arrive early next week. I'll keep you all posted.
  13. UPDATE---Success, or Close enough to it. I posted a want ad on row52.com and a guy from Mississippi went to the yard in Alabama (which had '79 210 intact) and pulled them for me (including the washer resovoir and pump and a bunch of hoses) . I hope he grabbed everything I need, but either way its a really promising start. This cost me less than flying anywhere that had these cars in their yard anyway. They're en route and should be here next week. Hoefully this saga will be over soon. My only concern is dialing in the carb after reattaching all this stuff. I may have to post here for help, but first will rely on the service manual which appears to have fairly detailed instructions. I'll post pics upon arrival. @damagedduck - Do you still have those seats you pulled? I'd like to come by and grab them sometime and give you some monies.
  14. Did you notice the air pump on it or the bracket?
  15. I've seen other threads (maybe here) that said by '81 or '82 they had abandoned the air pump? Can anyone confirm this? Thanks for the pics, either way!
