Hello all! I just purchased a 1969 Datsun 510 Bluebird SSS (left hand drive). My 1st car and love was a Datsun 510, so I'm excited about this project. The problem is the prior owner kept the dashtop and heater buttons/levers intact, but pulled out the whole front of dash (gauges, glovebox, radio area, ignition, etc.) and replaced with a super shitty flat piece of wood with new aftermarket gauges (about 8) and electrical toggle switches (approximately 20!) My plan is to tear it all out, find an original complete dash and start fresh with the electrical. I don't know if I can post a pic of this on here.
Problem is I can't do any of this on my own, along with the engine swap and restoration. I do want to bring back this 510 to life!!!
Does anyone have recommendations of auto electrician, suspension, engine and restoration specialists that work 510's in the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA area? I would prefer a shop that would be able to do most of the work under one roof and a fair price.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
John
