  1. Easy enough fix for the wiring. It seems that the fan had caught the wires going to the distributor. I had enough wire left to create a temporary splice to reconnect it. Sure enough, that was the problem. I'll steal the wires off the primer donor and call it good. Next step: fuel system.
  2. Hello everybody. My name's Daniel. A few weeks ago I picked up a few 280z cars, including an original Zapp Z and a 2+2. The 2+2 is pretty much a rust bucket and not worth saving. The Zap Z is going to be my daily driver project. It has a few rust issues, but the floor is solid along with the rails. It won't be staying yellow, it'll be painted various shades of primer as I'm working on it/driving it. My first goal with it is to get it running. It turns over, but there's no spark. Yay for electrial problems. The primer grey one will be my swap candidate, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to swap into it, but it's the obvious candidate because the previous owner was doing a carb conversion on it and left the intake open to the elements. I haven't checked to see if ti will turn over, but doesn't look good. Anyway, here is a picture of the three. This thread will be only about the yellow one though. When I picked them up: The Zap Z (the car for this thread): 2+2 Rust bucket Primer + Bondo Z I doubt I'll have major updates to this thread often. Right now the goal is to find the problem in the electrical and get it running.
