  1. Having some fun... "My car can dream..."
  2. More baby pics! :)
  3. I haven't upgraded my brakes yet. Still with a A12 since it's going ok for now...
  4. God I wish I knew this before, I just replaced my whole front end but I haven't upgraded my brakes yet. Do you know if the 280zx knuckles allow more room for wider rims? I bought a set of 13x8 and there's no room to turn unless I install spacers.
  5. The more I look these days, I really got a good deal... T3 sells a Datsun 1200 set up like their 510 conversion, it's just not listed on the website. I called and chatted with them a little for some parts. Here is a link to the 510 set up, the difference would be 1200 struts vs the 280zx. https://technotoytuning.com/nissan/510/front-coilover-conversion-datsun-510-280zx-strut-casings
  6. As in from the start until today? $2000 as is when purchased from Reno. Hardly running +$8000ish in front suspension parts, bushings, tires, transmission rebuild, new clutch, wire work and countless misc small parts. I had taken my car in to Fitted Garage for the wire harness clean up, the entire engine harness looked liked it was twisted together in a million spots...
  7. I had some fun over the weekend fixing the passenger door lock and painting the Cowl Vent black. She's happy now.
  8. So my car was down for about 6 months while the whole wiring harness was being worked on. Then I got the whole transmission rebuilt and the ujoint replaced. She's going good now, driving to work everyday again! I finally put on the front bumper that I purchased. I also removed the damaged Bumper Guard off the back. Not sure if I like it yet so bare, unprotected...
  9. I had do research myself on sizes available and then request them from Americas Discount Tires. I have a brother in-law that manages one so maybe there was a little more patience on just a random guy asking a lot of option requests over the phone... He then researched who had it in stock and shipped it to a local store, which I believe is normal by request. 175/50/13 Nankang As-1 Before I did the front and rear swaps, I had just the fronts replaced so they didn't rub with kumihimo tires 155/70r13 I only have 5.5 wide rims to there isn't any stretch on either.
  10. In reading the instructions for sharing their files, they only want links going to the home page... So I added some details on where you can find the cut-outs. Here is what the button looks like.
  11. You can now own your very own Nissan 1200GX, in multiple colors! It's a free for personal use only. Found these on METMANIA-FAN while searching the web.... 1. All paper model patterns are free to download only for personal use. 2. However, all copyrights are reserved by METMANIA-FAN. 3. Even if anyone modifies the patterns, copyright of base design would not be waived. 4. It's illegal to sell, to disclose or to publish our files, patterns, photos or these printed matters without authorization. 5. Once you downloaded any files, you were presumed to accept above text. 6. When you find above illegal actions, please inform us in email. There are four different color options for your paper folding pleasure. I thought it was very awesome someone took so much time to make these and to give it away for free... I will be building my own set. *You will see the models when you click on the Nostalgic Car button on their site. Since METMANIA-FAN site is requesting not to link directly to single pages, I can only show you how the button looks like.
  12. This is 2" inches under factory settings.... This is 2.5" inches from the bottom of the coilovers.... I haven't played with the shock settings yet, but train tracks are not a problem now!
  13. On the other hand, everything else is going well on the entire front end suspension bushing replacement. I was able to get most of the parts through RockAuto.com
  14. So I tried this.. I did not work for me. I bought the 200sx 1979 strut bearings and they're too big. I might as well buy the T3 mounts and the upper hat system and stop wasting time... I need to drive!!
