  1. That thought has been on my mind since I headed out into the night when I purchased the truck. I haven't done any investigation into the alternator that is on the truck, but when I do, I will let you know what I find out.
  2. So tell me did you notice much difference in ride after you lowered it? Did you do any other work to the suspension/driveline i.e.: remove bump stops, replace front shocks, single piece drive line, front end alignment??????
  3. So, after a few text messages in reply to a Seattle Craigslist add and a few emailed pics, I took a Datsun leap of faith and caught a ride to Seattle with a friend looking to buy a 1979 620kc. I took a short test drive, negotiated a little on the asking price and, in less than an hour after arriving, buy cab, at the truck for sale, I was headed East over Snoqualmie Pass in a thirty five year old Datsun 620 that I really knew nothing about. It was already dark when I started my trip and I rolled in to Cle Elum around 9:00 pm and grabbed a motel room for the night. The next morning I was up early. I was feeling more confident in my new purchase and was excited to get the truck to it's new home near Spokane. A stop along the way that morning in Vantage to take a few pics One of the first item of business after getting home was to get a set of OEM rallies, that I had previously purchased on Craigslist, in the kc where they belonged. And so starts the old skool look of the exterior complete with a new set of 225/60/14 BF Goodrich TA's However the previous owner had made the interior anything but old school. Start with a pair of functioning heated leather bucket seats with lumbar support Add a Pioneer MixTrax bluethooth stereo with a pair of 6x9's and a Pioneer glass sub filling the kc and a pair of 5 1/2 Alpines neatly tucked in the one-off door panels and top it off with a pair of Alpine tweets hidden in the custom kicks. Needless to sat the sound system KICKS ASS. Other new skool features include; power door locks, push button start and alarm system. The 620 also came with some upgraded features from the factory in 1979 including a tachometer And under the hood lies a fully charged and functional air conditioning system attached to the stock L20B A few other detail items have been taken care of over the past couple of weeks including removing the rear bumper And refurbishing the Datsun emblems Up next - a custom tonneau cover - stay tuned and thanks for looking
  4. OEM rallie wheels with beauty rings and hub caps - 225/60/14 BF Goodrich TA's for rubber
  5. Before After with OEM rallies and TA's
  6. I've got a set of NOS Datsun Rallies w/beauty rings and stock hub caps that are earmarked for my 620. I could get the wheels and tires to Monroe for you. Would that work?
  7. Those wheels are Enkei Etoria's with 225/50/17 tires on them. they are coming off you want to buy them? $200.00 for the set
  8. As ElJay says "Taking the danger ride"
  9. A couple of pics of the, newly purchased 620 as I drove it, 300 miles home, from Seattle this morning. Crossing the Columbia at Vantage
  10. So i watched a pair of OEM Bumperettes for a 521 (w/brackets in excellent condition) sell for $611.00 on EBay this morning. That price seems excessive. Are they really that rare? b
  11. After some brake and clutch work she's on the road! URL=http://s1343.photobucket.com/user/bartbennett/media/photo-38_zps10ded98d.jpg.html][/url]
