So I went to take the Datsun out this morning and when I closed my door it swung back open... after taking off door panel I noticed the spring on the door latch broke so it wont allow my door to stay shut. Am I able to find a new spring or do I need a whole new latch? Nissan couldnt find a spring on their parts page anywhere.

Thats about what I got was 5 years. Sucks the one i want/need is the more expensive of them all.

Awesome thanks for the info. I was always scared about revving it out. I do have small tires on it. On a set of 95 pathfinder wheels. But... i will just fix the slave cylinder and take her out again!

Haha I know. But I just got my tax return and I have neglected my poor truck. I would love to swap to a 5 speed so I feel comfortable taking it on the highway and not revving out.

Looking for a 5 speed tranny for my 521. As well as a new radiator.

Quick question. I have my 71 521 pick up. Slave cylinder is bad. I have a 1980 l20b in it. Now do i get the 71 slave cylinder, or the 80 slave cylinder?

Ok so i am having a major issue with my 521... Yesterday on my way to work i came to a stop at a stop sign as i went to put the truck in 2nd because of course i didnt fully stop it made a loud clunk and wouldnt let me back in gear... I pulled over let it sit for a couple seconds went into 1st gear and it went fine. Now while i am driving the truck is making a strange winding type noise in first second and third gear when i go to fourth it goes away. On top of that when i go to shift into 3rd sometimes i really have to push it. WHAT IS GOING ON??? i to be totally honest am mechanically disinclined!

ok so im tired of only having the four gears... im ready to have 5 to make the ride on the freeway i little bit more enjoyable... anyhow i want to know what the best transmission to go with is... in otherwords what should i get a 5 speed out of.

does the cab have doors and a dash?

Continue to sand the bed free of rust so i can spray the bed and make the truck one color. been debating greatly over how i want to do my sounds inside the truck getting ready for the dynomat and carpet make it more comfortable for the ladies who complain they see the street while im driving! give me a break

Ok should have more pics up later im hoping but a couple updates to the truck... THE RADIO WORKS haha been driving for 4 months with no tunes and now i have some sounds. i got my heater working and windshield wipers. everything i starting to come together very nice i should have the bed sanded and all glue stripped ready for paint as soon as weather permits. i cleaned up my taillights very nicely look almost new im starting to get sucked more and more into the truck i love it and YES its taking up all of my freetime. im considering building a tono cover for the bed see how far i kick that idea around. anyhow this truck is a BLAST

the truck runs great... under the hood i going to change a lil bit going with the dual carb set up and putting the 5 speed in. i cant find a straight bumper so i just wont put one on. im definately gonna paint the bed just have to finish peeling all the carpet off when i bought it it was carpeted in the bed but not the cab doesnt make much sense. anyhow im missing a few things but ive noticed how hard it is to find stuff for em. anyhow thanks for the welcome more work to come

Ok so i just found a 5 speed to put into my 521. i just have a question on what it really takes to make this swap happen i have the l20 in there with the 4 speed and it just wasnt given me enough so i have to move up to the 5 speed any suggestions on how to mount it under there and whatnot
