  1. I checked the carb glass and it's empty, I checked the fuel pump and it's on and running but doesn't seem to be pumping any fuel. I took the hoses off of it and there doesn't seem to be any suction. Could the fuel pump be burn up? This would be the second pump that I've went through
  2. Well i have the jumper wire like the article states and the fuel pump turns on when I have it in the accessory/on position and it'll crank and then like 2 seconds later it'll turn off
  3. Is this why it starts and then turns off?
  4. It will crank and then shut off after about 3 to 4 seconds ( I still have the jumper wire in could that be an issue?)
  5. Okay guys I checked the anti dieseling solenoid and it was good and I did that jumper wire like it says in the article Mike and boom it drunk whoop whoop! Does this mean its my fuel pump relay I'm guessing ? Is it fixed or should I still be worried about it shutting off again?

  8. Mike I was gonna ask that question as I have seen some others have that problem , thanks for bringing that up I'll have to check that as well. I mean it'll go about 20 miles before it cuts off and then again.
  9. Thank you for the pics that definitely helps me thing is it runs great when it's running and all sudden just dies on me on me driving it , at first inline engine power and I give it more gas and it like bogs down and it splitters then just dies . I'll also get the fuel filter as well

  11. Hey guys I am having an issue with my 84 pickup just stalling on me in the middle of driving it down the road. This is twice in 2 weeks it's done it and left me stranded in the road . The first time it did it I figured well maybe it's a fuel pump issue because the ignition would turn ober and everything but just wouldnt crank at all and when i replaced the fuel pump it started driving great again. Well, yesterday evening i did a coolant flush on my truck and got all the coolant up to the recommends levels as per the FSM and got it done and took her for a spin to see how she would drive and it just cut off on me in the middle of drovong. It did the same thing as before . same problem ...it'll turn over but will not crank. Anybody have an answer for me ?

  15. I know i should probably start a new thread or look for this topic but in have another question about my truck. I noticed my belts on my truck look like the original belts that came on my truck and look really old. Is this a problem ? Should I replace them ? Will it help my performance of my engine? And how hard is it to replace the belts?
