  1. I don't plan to lower it any more. As it is I already get some tire rubbing if I have an adult in the back seat. The struts are ZX with KYB inserts. The rear is lowered with 1 1/2" blocks and a 3 degree pinion shim. Wheels are on the list, but I was more concerned first with replacing the 13s that were on there before so I could clear the ZX brakes.
  2. A very long overdue update on the changes over the last year: dog-leg 5 speed a ridiculous glass doorknob shift knob ZX wheels, struts/brakes couple inch drop about half the T3 catalog :) I also picked up window channel felt and weatherstripping, hope to do some of that this winter.
  3. Very cool. It's interesting to hear the back story! :)
  4. The goon has 95K on the odometer. Here are the pedals. What do you think, has it rolled over?
  5. Good call on the battery, will do. As for the Juke, well I like it because it is tiny and good bang for the buck. To each his own. :)
  6. Yeah, I really like the Juke. Close to 190 HP stock on such a little car scoots it along nicely. :) Purely street for me. I bought the FWD since the AWD wasn't available with a manual transmission.
  7. Funny! When/where was that video taken? I bought it from a guy in Vancouver, WA and I think he bought from someone in eastern Washington.
  8. Hi all. I checked in on the Goon thread, but figured I'd start a new one. I picked up a '69 wagon a couple months ago and am loving it. I have had a '69 2 door 510 and a '77 620 in the past as well as a host of other Nissans ('80 210 wagon, '89 pickup, '95 SE-R, '11 Juke). The good stuff: - It is pretty darned straight, no real cancer that I can see. Floors and rear deck are solid. - Interior is decent except for the driver's seat - Previous owner races Datsun 1200s, so he knew how to take care of it - At some point it had an L18 swap and it runs pretty well. I have been daily driving it. The not so good: - The 4 speed is occasionally a little crunchy into 2nd and 3rd (though that might just be me being so used to nice syncros in the Juke) - It had a pretty bad respray at some point and they painted all the rubber! First yellow, then black on top of that. :( So I'll need a full set of door seals. - There is some paint bubbling and surface rust I'm looking forward to upgrading brakes and lowering it a bit, then replace rubber and get a decent paint job, then maybe someday a KA24... Thanks for reading, Sparky And now a wall of pictures ;-) Why? Why would they paint the weather stripping and window rubber??!!
  9. Checking in. Just bought this '69 wagon a couple weeks ago. I have been wanting one forever and finally came across a pretty clean one. Anyone know what kind of wheels these are? I actually kind of like them.
