Sold my 510, Trying to raise bucks to race next year. Need to sell 2 differentials. Both are from 2002 Subaru wrx's, 3.54 ratio. One was being serviced (fluid replaced) and a small gear chip came out with the fluid-was not noisey and worked great. Second one was replaced in my car-did not need replaced. Found out after I replaced it (made the same noise) it was the rear driveshaft instead. 200 For both. E-mail badbeagle2@yahoo.com
I am in Puyallup Wa.
Thanks, Darrel
:DHey Bleach,
The last time I drove the Z around the block in the neighborhood, cops showed-up just after I closed the garage door! I guess the hard pull in third gear on a sunday morning was not a good idea? These people have no idea what fun is!!
I know it is not a datsun or nissan but it is from the land of the rising sun!
The picture in the driveway was taken way back in 1987-hence the black out trim. In the garage recently, I was putting in a Buick 215 v8. had the mounts made and all and changed my mind. It is now getting a Toyota 2rz (turbo)
Can I take it to a Ratsun meet? until the 510 is done? I have a 240z also!!!
Hopefully the attachments will come thru. Darrel
Dude, the 510 has an LSD!!
I, for one, want some small (4"x4") Ratsun stickers showing the rat and crossed wrenches to go on the quarter glass on my cars. Just small clear ones with the figure in black. Anyone else?? Does anyone have a hook-up
with a graphics shop? I may???? I will check today and post it. After I sell my "flip car"-a Subaru- I will give 100.00 towards the project if it is ok with the Wolfman!!!
Darrel
:) I will fess-up. I am much older that my Datsuns. My 240z is a 1972, my soon to be 510 is a 1969. I started harrasing the world as we know it in 1963.
Yes I am old but who cares!! Have fun!!!:D
Banzi510,
Hopefully I will be getting a 510 from Jeff and his buddy soon. I am going to have Diamong Racing wheel company make a custom set of wheels for me.
I want the widest "17's that will fit. They will be black in the center and chrome on the outer lip-to look like the stock wheel/chrome trim ring look. I thought I was the only one that liked that look!!! By the way, the diamond race wheels are steel, but light, cheap and can be made to custom sizes--Just an fyi to everyone.
Dime Dave,
Sweet 1200!!! I have been going to SCCA races since I was a wee tot, since 1969. I remember when the 1200's and 510's and Z-cars were new. Keep the old racers running!!!!!!
:DWell, lets just slam it together, peg the tach at 8000 and see what happins!!! Just kidding. I figure I will torque them at 60, plastic-gauge and see when the clearance is, go from there!! Thanks,
Darrel
I think they are tighter? I called ARP and they said 60 ft. lbs? Sounds like a lot to me. Have you done them before? I hope to spin 7500-8000 rpm on this engine. Everything is balanced. I just want to keep it together as long as possible.
