  1. I want to do her original satin blue... and have flames on the sides. But it'll be awhile before I can afford that, so she'll just be black primer for a year or two once the body work's done. However, I think I'll play that up and put some hearse-bar decals in the back windows.
  2. This is a "before" pic (and of her prettiest side, lol) because I've done a lot of work on her since. Right now her front end is torn apart and we're straightening the body before putting on the new fenders and core support. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/63409-1980-datsun-210-wagon-little-beast/?do=findComment&comment=1123530
  3. Thank you. On the bright side, either way I have to pull the dashboard because I'd bought a new one from Colourbox and I've been wanting to install it for awhile! :D
  4. My dash and headlights went out years ago in my 1980 Datsun 210 Wagon I'd taken her to the shop at the college (where I got my automotive degree) and our tests led us to believe that it was the combination switch. But I replaced the switch last year (it took FOREVER to find one) Still nothing. Fuses are fine... and there isn't even a headlight fuse in the box. Yet now I'm starting to remember exactly what happened when they went out: I was driving home and aside from the headlights flickering, the dashlights turned from their bluish-green to a bright orange, like maybe something burned out/ blew up under the dash. Any ideas to guide me as I tear off the dashboard and go digging?
  5. Well, stock is 155-13, but I ran mine with 165's for years. The only reason why I ended up buying 155s recently is because they were cheaper. I wish I could put 14 inch wheels on her because I really want to put skull and crossbones hubcaps on her, but I don't know too much about how to pull that off.
  6. Never mind! I GOT ONE! I'll post pics of the logo when done!
  7. Those are cool! I have no idea about using seats from other cars, but I'm going to have to replace mine so I'm eager to learn what you find out!
  8. Does anyone have a '79-'82 210 wagon with intact side logos? Mine rotted away, but if someone could send me a closeup photo of theirs, my honey is going to make me new ones with his 3D printer. (And I'm so going to make them glow in the dark.) If anyone can send me a pic it would be greatly appreciated. My email is annarkie12 @ Gmail.com Thanks!
  9. I NEED that right outer tail light. How much would you charge to get it and mail it to me?
  10. Hatch hardware? Do you mean the parts that hold it up, or the tail lights and whatnot?
  11. Cool story: Before I rebuilt my A14 she was running on only 2 1/2 cylinders but still getting 30mpg. Funny/D'oh story. After I (thought) I finished the rebuild, I discovered a pile of long thin cylindrical pieces of metal. I'd forgotten the pushrods. ::Facepalm::
  12. If this has been sitting this long, I recommend several things. 1.) reset the timing and check the thermo dashpot. It;s supposed to advance when the ngine is warm, but the rubber diaphragm is often seized after 30 yrs. 2.) overhaul the carb... or if you can afford it, replace it. Replace the thermostat & flush the cooling system 3,). Either drop the gas tank & clean the hell out of it, or run 2 fuel filters in line to catch the crap that's gathered from sitting.
