  1. Datzenmike, I also have some questions for you about suspension setups. I do see you used 84 Maxima strut setups. Does the full front (strut, spindle, caliper, and rotor) setup bolt on from a Maxima? The rear is live axle, so my only choice there are blocks for lowering right? Sorry if I am asking stupid questions, I am just really new to this and would like to learn more. I have done my own research, but I dont' seem to find solid answers, a lot of maybes. Any help would be awesome.
  2. It's been a while, but so far I haven't been able to work much on the car. I got busy with work and college, I was able to get a hold of some 2002 R1 Bike carbs from my buddy who wrecked his bike. I have seen people use these on a couple L20B's. I do have a couple questions on settings them up. I wasn't able to get solid information on it, or the pics weren't able to be viewed. Does anyone know of a walk though for that?
  3. I have a 76 Datsun 710 I'm working on, but I need a couple parts to get everything ready. It is the 2Dr Hardtop. I need the dashboard bezel, someone this one up to fit a stereo in. headers for an L20 OEM tach Emblems Fender flares I am mainly looking for those at the moment. I can pick up parts if you are somewhat near Wenatchee, WA if not please let me know how much you'd like for the parts and I can pay for shipping.
  4. I just want it to look good, and drive it on occasion. Not a daily driver. What would be the best setup for it? Early 70's intake mani? If occasional driving just leave it as is. No one can see it's good or bad looks under the hood. Two things... Get the early L16/18 exhaust manifold... basically it's a cast iron header. You will need a two into one down pipe and join to your L20B exhaust. Maybe get the pipe with the manifold. The early intake is divorced from the exhaust but is a smaller port than the '77 intake. A '78-'80 L20B intake is larger inside but had an EGR valve (not used) on it. Still works the same but has much larger ports and some don't like looking at the EGR.
  5. Door panels made and seats put in! More work in the interior to go!
  6. Does anyone here have an exhaust manifold that doesn't have the smog attachments. Mine has a crack in it. Also does anyone have a smogless intake manifold. I would like to purchase some asap.
  7. Does anyone know what seats would fit in the back of the Datsun? I was told 90's Honda Civic seats would, but I don't know. I jutted the interior and trunk. I am in the process of cleaning out all the rust of the trunk. Also made some door panels for it with a black wrap
  8. Anyone have a weber they'd like to sell? They guy I purchased mine from, decided to keep it, I got my money back, but still need a weber. I could pay with paypal
  9. Carb wasn't working right. It has a Dodge Slant 6 single barrel carb on it. Don't really know why haha. I took out the gas tank, it was rusted out bad. Had a hole in it. I stripped the trunk and I am working on getting all the rust removed.
  10. Just ordered a Weber 32/36 that comes on an A46 manifold, spark plugs, wires, and the chrome pieces for the grill. Looking to lower it as well. I ordered chassis saver too
  11. Thank you, I will clean that out. I will check FSM for the wiring diagrams! Pics will be posted in a couple hours. Not off work yet
  12. The front. The rear seems pretty easy, but you said you used 280zx struts, and just a coil over sleeve?
  13. Thanks for all the information, I'll probably have the pics up tomorrow from Photobucket. I am currently at work. Mine has the L20b with a 3sp automatic transmission. The interior is shot. I am going to strip it on Monday. The door panels are salvageable. The dash needs quite a bit of work. The ignition system is setup to a start button. Kind of strange, but it's been in the family for a long time. Sat for like 10 years.
