I'm trying to get my Datsun 620 in a drivable condition and i've been having some issues with the brakes. When I have the motor running and press on the brakes, the engine dies a little. I thought there was something wrong with the vacuum in the brake booster, so I disabled the vacuum valve temporarily to test if the brakes would turn off the engine. Turns out the valve inside the brake booster was sending air to the motor and turning it off, so that problem was fixed, although the brake pedal was slightly heavier to push. While testing out the brakes, I decided to test out the gas pedal as well. Doing so, the motor turned off. I'm unsure if too much air is coming through the carburetor, or something was wrong in the fuel pump. I need some help on what the issue is and how to repair it.
