  1. ok....so guess i'll have to try a sr20de n/a m/t ecu then....anybody knows the ecu code for that?
  2. well, the code on my ecu is a red WB....from what i've searched, its a s14 sr20de n/a auto.....am i wrong? anyways, i will try to find a factory speed sensor and hook up the signal to my ecu and see if that will work...if that works, guess im gonna have to use aftermarket speedometer....
  3. thanks guys. i have already done the conversion in my dime for the speed cable and speed sensor to work my factory speedometer, but my car just doesnt run right. i know a lot of people have said that my s14 sr20de n/a does not need to see a speed signal, but when i drive my dime, it acts like the rev limiter is at 3k rpm. i cant seem to rev past 3k after about 10min of driving unless i cycle the key off and back on. then everything is normal for another 10min of driving. if i just let it sit without moving the car, its fine. so i was just gonna try to get a speed sensor and wire it to the ecu to see if that would take care of it unless anybody has ran into this problem and can tell me what i need to do....thanks again for you advises....
  4. anybody knows if sr20de tranny speed sensor is the same with sr20det and ka speed sensors?
  5. do you have to use a different transmission mount with that crossmember? i had ordered one from t3, but now that i have it, i need to also order the transmission mount. it would of been nice if they would of stated that on their ad. guess its not so universal after all.....so now im stuck waiting for the mount....but thanks again the suggestions.

  7. anybody knows someone or a place that makes good transmission crossmember for sr/ka swaps. i know of mckinneys, but they are overpriced. i also found blackmarkit innovations, but their site looks a little skimpy. all they have for products are just the crossmember and brake bracket. any positive advises would be greatly appreciated...thanks

    speed sensor

    the swap is in a 510 and i cant check for codes. i couldnt figure out how to hook up check engine light or any other device to check for codes. is there a way to check for codes?
  9. there is a way....i have done it on my 510. there is a black with red wire at the sr20de harness that goes out to the distributor. you will have to cut that wire and run one side to one of the white wire from your 510 tach and the other white wire connects to the other side of the black with red wire. then you will need to have acc power to the solid green wire at the tach. the black wire at the tach goes to ground. the green with black tracer goes to power when your parking lights are turned on. hope that helps.

    thanks guys...guess i'll need to look elsewhere for the hesitation/stumbling problems....i have a feeling it mite be my coolant temp sensor...anybody had this problem before with a bad temp sensor?

    well, its not the rev limiter that im concerned about. it drives fine for a while, but then it starts bogging like its hitting the rev limiter. if i cycle the key off and back on, it will go away for another miles or so.

    do you guys know if the s14 sr20de non turbo needs to see the speed sensor for it to run right? thats what i have in my 510 but after a mile or two of driving, it seems like it wont rev past 2500 rpm (just by the sound cus i dont have a tach hooked up yet). i've read up on some sr20 needing to see the speed sensor, but those were only the turbo models. any input is appreciated. thanks.

  14. does anybody know which wires are for the check engine light? i have a s14 sr20de non turbo in my 510 and i want to hook up a light to lmk if i have a problem. right now, its not hooked up.
  15. dave, noticed you have a 2x4 between the pan and the cross member and dont have your mount set up yet. is it gonna be a problem if or when the car is on the ground or if the motor mounts that are used are not the same? that means that in order to use that sway bar, every motor would have to have atleast that amount of clearance between the cross member and pan right?
