  1. Another update my seats got finished and installed, theyre looking pretty good he did a great job been working on getting it a little more presentable ive been u sing a clay bar for some overspray removal on my paint( even though im painting it soon I still wanna preserve it the best I can) and off the glass as well as remove the window tint that was peeling and just plain screwed up. But am I sure glad im done with the glass Back window with really bad looking tint and overspray, basically all the windows were in this shape Back window after tint/overspray removal Side window all cleaned up Fresh seats before install Passenger Driver
  2. So while the 510 bucket seats are at upholstery I decided to get some body work done with that bein said I have been block sanding my ass off for a few days now but both bed sides are finished up and ready ... I forgot how much I love doin body work on a single wall bed. The upholstery guy says seats will be done tomorrow mid day so ill give another update soon Passenger side finished up Driver side sorry bout the shadows My temp seat till mine get back from the shop Hellaflush yo,, ha just kiddin wheels just turned out to be a pretty tight fit
  3. Still been slaving on this thing I sanded prepped and painted the jams nissan mustard yellow(mellow) then builall new door panels and kick panels from scratch cause they were long gone I built them out of oak cause my plans are to have an oak bed floor finished to match them and if I donf lije them ill just cover them up Start of the new panels Passenger side finished up and new paint The kick panels are done too
  4. Been workin on it finally got a couple tires for the wheels and th bed walls roughed and tacked in Bed floor this far New wheels Cruisin heihgt
  5. Been building a new bed floor and walls this weekend I'll throw some pics up of it here in a bit but progress every day on this ha.. eat breath sleep my 620 im tring to get as far as I can along before canby ive never been and debating it this year is anyone from this area heading there?
  6. Aired up with bed on Layed out with the bed on Got my battery bracket finshed up and bolted up Got the compressor hooked up, belt plumbing and wired up and ready to go
  7. Iv been doin quite a bit of work on this thing last week got my engine driven compressor hooked up and wired and all ready to go.. also reinforced my four link and tig'd for good measure.. and im finishing the brakes up so that they are complete today and gonna try to mount the bed keeping my fingers crossed. I'll put some pics up at the end of the day!!!
  8. during mock up I had it that way but because of the upper arm hitting it I wasnt able to get enough lift to get the tire to be able to clear the fender so I had to find the best happy medium.
  9. The steering I found it was easiest to change thevbox rather than convert the column with a knuckle(I tried that witha brand new weld on steering knuckle). I used a 510 box but also learned that a b210 and 610 both have a box with the same bolt width as the 620 but they have a sealed box with a knuckle already in the column. Since the cars steering rack is closer to the wheel than a truck I just sleeved the column rod and stretched it. this is how I built the arm I had to heat the 510 half up and bend it the right angle. I beveled and welded it up and then gusseted each side and welded it super strong
  10. Ya I actually just bought the plates for mine too starting to just work the bugs out I tried to build this truck to be simple and really usable so nothing extremely crazy with it.. but here are some pics of some more of the good stuff My front getup My 510 steering box and column conversion The Z and plate up front
  11. ya man its nice to see someone from around here on here! What datsun do you have maybe ive seen it around I keep a pretty close eye out. And nope its never been on CL ive owned it for ten years
  12. And ya factory521 AC unit gives me 7 gallons 200psi inlik a minute and a half or so
  13. Thanks everybody here are a few pics I got off a little later tonight so it was getting dark so I couldnt get any pics of the front or up under the truck.. ill be off earlier tomorrow and get some good detail cause honestly the biggest issue on the whole build was the steering it was such a pain in the ass it took so many trys and was the last thing needed to be drivable Backhalf The tub for the fire wall near clutch The notch in the floor forr the z wish I diddnt have too, but no it doesnt interfere with the pedals you cant even tell its there
  14. The frame was built out of 2x3 .120 from the firewall back and with a z and lowered motor mounts I also have 16x8 first gen escalade wheels which have room by the clutch but not a ton of ha these things lack room and ease of body dropping
