I have the jatco auto transmission and 1st gear revs high then finally when it kicks into second it only goes half way through the gear And back to first reving really high? I'm going to check all the hoses and linkage today

Will a 71 510 sedan automatic tranny fit a 72 510 sedan auto tranny? Even though 68-71 had column shifter and 72-73 had floor shifter?

So a automatic transmission in a 71 510 sedan won't work on a 72 510 sedan wth a automatic tranny, due to the 68-71 column shift and 72-73 floor shift?

Hello there Ratsun aficionados! Well I picked up this 510 sedan about a year ago up north California, drove it down to San Diego the same day. The guy who sold it to me said it was his daughters car and she hated it, I could tell it was more of a hate relationship because the car wasn't happy. I asked the guy if it could handle a 3 1/2 hour ride home? he smiled and said I guarantee it will make it that's a strong lil L16 it has there, so I checked everything and ran it around the block a few times, as I drove it, there were a few people trying to buy it all ready. Lets just say the ride was epic, I was coasting home in a car I had wanted since I was 13. The first 510 I layed eyes on was a sedan and man was that a hell of a car and now Im here with a sedan to show you friends needs some work but hey we all know its a slow and very meticulous process when you know what you want
