  1. When you jump the solenoid over turn the key also.

    reverse lights

If you hold your shifter in reverse do they stay on?
  3. The starting my l20b was like that also. The solenoid wasn't getting proper voltage when cranking. It's a combination of a bad connection between the starter and solenoid and the signal coming from the ignition. I switched mine to push start, added a custom grounding kit and an Odyssey battery.
  4. Does your truck already have a hub? If so then yes that steering wheel will work. If it doesn't you will have to buy a hub also. I have a 1980 that came with a hub so my wheel bolted right on. You may have to enlarge the holes in the steering wheel slightly. 320 mm is really small. I currently have a 350mm Nardi Deep Corn leather in my truck and wouldn't go any smaller, especially if like me you have no power steering. I had a nardi deep corn 330mm in my 240sx and even in that car I wouldn't go any smaller. Factory wheel is probably around 380mm.
  5. I hope English is your second language.
  6. are you adjusting your idle after you set the timing? The timing curve changes depending on rpm. Also if you have vacuumm advance you should unplug it and cap it on the carb side. When plugged in make sure you dont have any vacuum leaks or problems. If you also have a mechanical advance check that as well. When finished Mark a line on the distributor to make sure it's where you left it.
  7. Yes a relay should go there. What year is your truck?

    hi

Ok, first off you will need a press to change the cv boots out on your axle not a hammer. You have to press off the inner spider bearing, don't want to go hammering in the bearings. The groove for the axle snap is on there. Grab your axle assembly from the back and pull the axle forward towards the outside of the hub to expose the groove. If you just had the hub rebuilt or pulled apart the tolerences and spacing will have changed. Slightly different dimensions on new aftermarket parts plays a part in this. Didn't they put in a new crush sleeve? That has to be the proper size to space out your inner and outer bearibgs, if it's to big your axle will not go deep enough to expose the groove for the snap ring. With that said make sure the spindle but is at proper torque setting. This will pull all the bearings closer together exposing more of the axle splines. If that fails to work you you can put the whole axle assembly with the whole spindle into a press to push the axle through that little bit you need to get the snap ring on. You could always pull the axles out and drive 2wd for a while. SAS is above your head imho.

D21 's used a vented rotor which is much thicker, it may bolt up but the pistons in the caliper will be extended out much further than designed. With that said it could push the piston out to far, possible seal issues and so forth. Where did they put a cotter pin?? The axle asembly doesn't have any cotter pins..

I believe they mean wheel bearing collar, which you can still find oem here. http://www.nissanpartszone.com/Page_Product/PartDetail.aspx?ModelName=720%20Pickup&ModelYear=1980&ModelSeries=720&FileType=236&SelectConditions=(1%3dK%2fCAB%3b4%3dF5%3b5%3dLONG%3b6%3d4WD%3b)&ShowConditions=(1%3dK%2fCAB%3b6%3d4WD%3b)&seeDesc=False&goBack=True&SectionNo=&ComponentsNo=400&PageID=21748#ctl00_cphView_pnlPartList
  13. Don't forget to fold back the tabs on the special lock ring that engage the spindle nut. They keep the nut from spinning completely loose if for some reason it works itself loose. On reinstallation torque the nut slightly past the torque setting to index the nut with the lock ring. This will allow you to fold the lock ring tabs back down to engage the nut.
  14. Don't hit it with a screwdriver and hammer .. if your referring to the spindle nut you need a special socket. I used one made for a Dana 44 I believe. They get over torqued easily by previous owners so hit it with a torch a few times.
  15. And yes the Megan kit has the triangle boots for the inner abd outer. The outers will have to be modified to fit because of the triangle shape. You will need a sharp utility knife to remove the unneeded material that makes the triangle shape. This will make it circular to fit the round outer cv.
